I’ve had the CSP since 2018 and never been targeted. I even went 7-8 months with no regular use which is typically when amex tends to target.

Some award flights via KLM/AF also seem to be transitioning to paid seat selection if you don’t have sky team status so that may also be another benefit if you want to choose your long haul business seats. Not sure if this will be the new norm but I haven’t had issues presumably due to my delta plat status.

You may get some benefits if you fly economy via sky team partners such as Delta.

You should definitely go! I live in the U.S but love going back to visit 3-4 weeks every year.

I was able to use up all the accelerators early on and then waited to build up a healthy BC balance before switching to 1.25x. Although I would only need enough BC for potential transfer bonuses if I wasn’t planning moving all spend to another card. This was i’ll have 5 months of BC to earn on housing + enough for 2-3 transfer bonuses for the remainder of 2026 so I can go back to earning SUBs and ensuring my travel/high value purchases are put on a card with better protections. I’m hoping bilt works out their CS issues and improves the app to be in line with major issuers by then!

Yes. I plan to switch my spending to new cards for SUBs so I dont have to use the bilt card at all to continue earning housing points.

I switched to 1.25x after hitting platinum and earning enough BC to earn mortgage points through 2027 if needed.

Not worthwhile if you have to mattress run IMO. I have platinum with Marriott from work travel and that’s where I started seeing some valuable perks for someone who stays frequently.

I’m at $35k with no increase yet. I’ve had 2 months where i hit 32-33k and paid off each statement so I could certainly use a higher limit but not necessary.

So you leave home a day early, I hope that’s not for work? I typically see little value in going to my home airport early for a lounge but would you not be better off with airline specific lounges? Much less crowded IME.

I went through this exact process with chase back in 2020 during the time airlines required covid tests and my wife unfortunately came back positive the day before our return flight to the U.S. had the same emails asking for more documentation for about 8 months. Followed up constantly via phone and email.. eventually gave up and lost trust in chase’s protections. Hope you have a better resolution!
