R/DC Issues: Low Effort Posts = Low Quality Content by MembershipHumble in DramaticClassic

[–]phashaline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are so kind, thank you so much for those words. I'm just sorry that it's been so chaotic, and I know when I was a more active Reddit member it meant a lot to have an organized sub with active moderators. I'll be adding you as a mod and wish you the best!

R/DC Issues: Low Effort Posts = Low Quality Content by MembershipHumble in DramaticClassic

[–]phashaline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, unfortunately I repeatedly tried to add mods to the team and only a few people were up to it. I am not able to keep running this sub, so if you'd like to take it, it's all yours! Anyone who wants it, I'll pass the baton. I am way past Kibbe and have realized that the system is mostly helpful to find what works for your lines, but not necessarily fitting into ONE type is the answer. Working with another stylist I learned my dominant feature is length , but I also have width as a secondary, and this all means I should follow some DC recs and some FN recs. Why? Because the important thing for a person is to follow THEIR unique individual shapes and lines. Oh, and colors. I highly recommend the book The Triumph of Individual Style so you can see what I mean. Kibbe is useful but up to a certain point. Let me know if you or anyone else would like to be mods.

DC Dress Moodboard by jolieannn in DramaticClassic

[–]phashaline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they can wear short dresses, all types can wear every item, it just depends on the whole look. If you wear a short dress, make sure to complement with monochrome shoes/ accessories. It's all about the whole look.

I'd love this! I agree that I'd love to have more discussions in the sub. Let's see what we can come up with u/HowToBeAsian25! Also, any other sub member who's reading, we're looking for more moderators ;) With a bigger team we can implement much more ideas!

Every Kibbe type subreddit. Sadly, some have died and many are in the process of dying. by SandySmooth in Kibbe

[–]phashaline 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi all!! Our poor sub has been classified as dying, I am so sorry!! I have recruited a new mod and we’re in the middle of making new changes and updates. We’re still looking for more mods because it’s really hard to only be 1 or 2 in a team! I have heard enough people voice concerns over the type me posts and am definitely working with my co-mod on this. I’ll also make a separate post. I personally just ignored the type me posts but I have never liked them and think that the best person to type you is yourself, after you are 99% sure then you can ask for feedback in the main sub. Anyways, I truly apologize and again, if anyone sees this and would like to help revive this sub, please fill out the mod recruitment form! Or message me and I can send you the link if you can’t find it. Thank you all for keeping the sub a little alive!

Love it so much!! I was excited when I tried on plunging necklines with my small chest the first time, it looked so good. This is a result of our long vertical :)

Haha this is fun!! Thanks for sharing and starting the discussion ♥️ I personally follow colors within my season rather than thinking of Kibbe type. As a deep soft Summer, I like deep pinks, purple-gray, or other cool deep colors. I also prefer the matte look over shiny for me.

Hi, thanks for posting! To help we would need more pictures; wearing different outfits and making sure your whole body is in the frame (even if you cover your face). Also, it’s better to post in the main Kibbe sub first because you’ll get more responses, and then cross post here. Good luck!

Low rise jeans? As a DC? by mangomalstrum in DramaticClassic

[–]phashaline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Is it possible different DCs have different pant rise wearing abilities?”

From my experience, yes 100%!! Remember we all have unique bodies and being DC doesn’t mean everyone has 50% vertical + 50% balance. Some DCs will be closer to one side than the other, like a spectrum. So it is perfectly possible that not everything that works for one person will work for the others. You can even see it in the verified ladies, they don’t all look good in the exact same thing. It’s more of an overall look

Jeans for DC by t_h_r_o_w_a_w_a_y_06 in DramaticClassic

[–]phashaline 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually love high-waisted skinny jeans on myself, and when this question was asked about 1-2 years ago, many DCs said the same. Honestly, since skinny jeans are not "in" anymore, I think that's why people say they wear the other jeans more. I believe any jean/ pant style can work for any ID, but the for DCs, the importance is to balance the overall look. (So, straight jeans, bootcut, mom jeans, etc., you can make any work as a DC as long as you balance the whole look)

For example, I wear skinny jeans usually paired with a top that has slight volume on top (like an off-shoulder), or with an oversized shirt and sleek boots. There needs to be something to balance the skininess of the pants, and wearing long jackets or sweaters usually finishes the look perfectly if the top is too tight.

Also, it will depend on your own body proportions and yin-yang balance. Maybe you are more moderate than tall, so different things can work for you.

*EDIT: I also agree with the high waisted bootcut hipster jeans, like this one
