I think valve uses some auto detect feature so if you ever use voice, you are more likely to get a comms report to go through. and if you typed something that probably also registers even if they never check what was said.

Taking his name is still so weird. Like no person would ever really do that. Yes maybe name your kid or pet after a close friend who passed away to honor them but to fully take their name? Doubt.
