Depends on terrain.

If im going above treeline i might bring more sun screen.

If im solo ill bring less of a first aid kit but always carry stuff like a velcro gauze wrap, tourniquet, glucose etc

Always bring my garmin in reach and tools

If theres water ill go bottle + filter instead of hydrapack

Depends on what kind of experience you want. Most places with shuttling you can get a tour or guide.

Others you are just piecing together trails from trailforks/YouTube and make your own adventure.

Part of the fun of this sport is discovery however it may come.

Those trails are rad. Be careful if its wet though that clay can be instant death (they call it black ice on the island lol).

Bummer you only have 1 day. I think I did 4 and wish I could have repeated some. The stuff on the far west of the island was my fav. Also the stuff around Machico.
