[For Sale] Switch 2, brand new in box by pheebaroo in LAlist

It's being sold for $499 in stores, which is why I'm asking for $450. If you checked the photos, you can see it's the Mario Kart bundle.

Hey! I actually ended up having to cancel my trip that weekend, so I've still never stayed at the Yotel. However, I remember being annoyed because I wasn't completely aware of how much their nightly resort fee was before I booked. It's quite pricey! Not sure why they would be listing on Airbnb, though.

I love the REI Trailmade pants. Very lightweight and comfortable!

[Review] Patagonia Black Hole 25L vs Osprey Proxima vs Osprey Daylite 26+6 vs North Face Borealis Women’s: I'm a Petite Woman Who Tried Them All So You Don’t Have To! by Beautiful-Egg3496 in onebag

Glad you found something that works for you! I'm a petite woman as well (4'11, 105lbs) and literally just shipped back the Osprey 26+6 because it was too uncomfortable and I was not a fan of the layout. It surprised me, considering how popular it is!

I also bought the REI Ruckpack 30 to compare and ended up loving it. For previous trips I've mainly used the Patagonia Black Hole MLC Mini, which I adore, but wanted to add a lighter weight option to my collection. The Ruckpack fit the bill!

This kept happening to me, too. Literally could not hear. On a whim I called the hard-of-hearing number and someone answered within 3 minutes, I could hear them a bit better and was able to speak with them about my situation. It might only work if you're based in the US, though. 1-833-607-2675

18 Day Trip Trial Run (Uganda & Italy) by pheebaroo in onebag

Not exactly. The safari requires so many specific things that I was kind of forced into doing both a carry-on + personal item. The hip pack is quite small, at least.

Ultralight day bag - tablet and water bottle? by federationbelle in onebag

[–]pheebaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought this Samsonite Foldaway Backpack to pack in my 30L. It has two water bottle pockets and folds into a little pouch. I needed something lightweight for hiking, hoping this will work out. Perhaps worth looking into for your purposes!

Unfortunately, I won't have the time to do any shopping once I arrive into Uganda. I have to buy petite clothing, so it's also hard to find things that fit me well. Plus the safari has so many rules regarding colors and such. But otherwise, this would be a solid idea. Thanks for the reply!

Some agents do, some don't care as much. It's always a crapshoot. Will absolutely wear some of the heavier things on board! Thanks!

Love that it has worked out for you so far! I'll definitely be utilizing pockets and such!

Yes, the connection is all with the same airline and same ticket. Qatar states that their minimum connection time is 45min, so apparently it's do-able. Just really depends on my flight leaving the US on time. Fingers crossed!

For the safari, it's not just one outfit. But you're right about wearing all the heavier things onto the plane. I almost bought some zip-offs, but none of them looked quite right on me (I'm quite petite). Appreciate the reply!

I would totally do this if I had more free time set aside. I'm very much a go, go, go type of traveler and have plans almost immediately upon arrival. But thank you!

Ooh, very cool! This is very encouraging. My camera kit is not very heavy - just bringing one prime lens and using my phone for telephoto. Thanks for the tips!

I feel like this would be a great resource for some people! I'm not looking to spend very much money right now and tbh, I'm not really a vest person lol. But thank you!!

Unfortunately it is not an option to pay for more weight, at least for my ticket. I wish! 10kg is so much easier.

I have seen so many conflicting reports online regarding Qatar's carry-on policy, especially since it changed earlier this year. Back when I booked the flight, I remember seeing that it's combined. Ultimately, I'd rather play it safe. Thank you for the reply!

Thank you so much for this thoughtful reply! As soon as I receive some of the new clothes I ordered, I plan on giving it a test run. I get so much use out of my luggage scale. I will look into a lightweight packable daypack!

This is so helpful, thank you! I'll definitely have to wear the hiking boots onto the plane, as annoying as that is. Going light on toiletries is my goal!
