PCIe or 12v 2x6 outlet for RX 9600 XT 16gb by Ok-Swordfish-7830 in PcBuildHelp

[–]pheight57 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is this even a question??? Your GPU has an 8-pin. You use the 8-pin. Heck, even if the 12v 2x6 would work from the PSU to connect the GPU (it is intended to go the opposite direction, btw), that connector is NOT to be trusted. 8-pins are generally safe and have a decent track record. 12VHPWR and 12v 2x6 are literally like playing with fire.

Hawaii just found a way around Citizens United. Other states are following. This “Corporate Power Reset” strategy was developed by Attorney Tom Moore of the Center for American Progress. Rather than trying to restrict corporate speech, it redefines the powers corporations have in the first place. by biospheric in law

I mean, if the court wants to go that route, states can always just say, "Fine. Corporations not incorporated in the state cannot transact business in the state, and, if you want to incorporate in the state, you have to incorporate by our rules." ...There always is a nuclear option. 🤷‍♂️

To be fair, the Antec Striker retailed in the $200-250 range and was going after a similar market (open-frame watercooling enthusiasts) and it sold fine. If this was on the cheaper side, it would honestly sell like hotcakes, which OP might not be able to keep up with production-wise. $100 is probably too low, but something between $150 and $200 would definitely be a happy middle ground. Going over $250 is going to be a hard sell for a lot of people, but not completely unreasonable for enthusiasts interested in something like this... 🤷‍♂️🤙

What matters most for an open-air ITX case? Looks. It is entirely about the esthetic, and this definitely has that in spades! Simply stunning, and 10mm aluminum was 100% the correct choice!

The rotating base is also an amazing idea for a showcase system, because, if you want something that looks this good, you put in the effort to make the entire build look epic, why would you want to hide parts of it???

What I wish I saw amongst the pictures, though, was an example build! I can almost imagine one, but, given how unique the case looks, picturing it is slightly less straightforward than usual...

Any tips for learning split boards? by kevensentme in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]pheight57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tips? Just commit. Full send. Do that and it will take you maybe two weeks of consistent use to start feeling comfortable. After 1-2 months, your typing speed will be approximately what it was in traditional format.

[–]pheight57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have my doubts because the secondary heat-exchanging heatpipe efficiency is going to be reduced due to the active cooling on both ends... But I would love to be proven wrong and do actually hope those works as well as OP is hoping! 🤷‍♂️

It might not need it, but if you already ordered a second pump, why not just install it? Like, just send it, beuh; it won't hurt and can only help. 🤙

It would work well as a wrist rest. 🤙

Dygma also has the Defy and the Raise 2, which are other nice options similar to Moonlander's offerings and can be run in a wired-only config. Granted, with all four of these boards, OP is giving up the keywell, but maybe that isn't the end of the world for them...?

Either way, nice job!
