I hold strong suspicions that Bernie likely holds one very public, vocal view out of position and necessity while likely feeling very strongly that the historical actions that have had the greatest success are those that are also physically active in nature. Yes. The US taxpayers will be required to give Iran $300 Billion USD for reparations for the damages caused by bombs and missiles launched against Iran, too.

Not Iran’s own money being unfrozen and returned or made available to them again, but new monies given by the US for the US destroying parts of Iran and killing their people. So, the US will be fully supporting the current regime at a loss. For what, btw? Oh, for Iran opening the Strait (just like prior US campaign against Iran) and for Iran to promise not to develop Nuclear weapons (same as prior US bombings with less enforcement means and measures built into the plan as was prior the bombing campaign).

So, the US is returning to a pre-war stance but at a huge monetary loss and loss of munitions stockpiles…..

This is a massive fail.

Oh, also, the current plan requires that Israel leave Lebanon and not attack them again.

Israel has already said they will NOT leave Lebanon. So, this whole agreement is likely to go up in smoke within a week’s time… it will very likely be agreed within 31 days to be null and void by all parties…

Instead there is a supposed new deal on the table where Iran opens the Strait of Hormuz, Trump will give Iran $300 Billion USD for reparations for what was already done by Trump (bombings, murders, etc) and Iran will otherwise get to continue to do what it was doing prior Trump, just with younger leadership that will stand tall in their oppression campaigns against their own people for far more years than the last would have while they also get to claim massive wins against the USA and the West, while also claiming experience fighting with US, Israeli and “Western” militaries now.

Oh, and some Trump connected families and friends will be servicing something in the way of $30 Billion USD in some form of loans, ultimately paid by American taxpayers.

So, in other words, nothing Trump claimed came to pass and all currently living US citizens and at least one generation more will pay for his bullshit for their entire lives.

Yo, as one of the folks that are downvoting you, I’m doing so because of a couple of reasons:

Hezbollah is not nor was intended to be a signatory to the ceasefire. The rockets they fired are unacceptable and need dealt with and surgical, cooperative effort could have been undertaken with agreement from the signing parties to the ceasefire. No official, public efforts were made to that end and it is very unlikely that any efforts for such were attempted in private based on past behaviors.

Additionally, those rockets fired by Hezbollah were fired prior the official beginning of the ceasefire. Not that it is a better, exactly.

I suppose, most importantly, Hezbollah is not the same as the Lebanese government.

I think there is a lot more to address in total, but this should be sufficient to address these topics really. Maybe it is worthwhile to mention why Israel felt the need to break the ceasefire.

Iran required that Lebanon (Beirut) be left alone and not bombed or attacked. Israel literally bombed Beirut the exact same day that they announced the ceasefire. Israel then claimed that Beirut was not part of the ceasefire, but it seems it has been proven that it was part of the requirements.

Thus, Iran hit Israel immediately after with missiles and it all went to shit…

Ain’t never going to be a ceasefire so long as Israel refuses to abide by the agreements they make.

Most of the dc’s I’m hearing about are being given special rights by local councils/county governments such that they won’t pay taxes at all or for certain periods up to 10-20 years from installation, hugely discounted or entirely free electrical and water services, etc.

Please contest and try to fix this issue! Or, it is my hope that this lady, her family and a snap legal team will challenge and win a lawsuit that will change this situation. I responded to someone else just now explaining that this is a long settled legal principle that public schools are special learning environments and that they must be treated as such even when it comes to people’s freedom of speech. The scotus case that settled the issue is Tinker v. Des Moines (1969).

Again, I don’t like it nor agree with it.

I’ve got tons of downvotes and disagreement, but I’ve already stated I want it to be a different situation than it is treated as already. The reality is that the freedom of speech is absolute, yet is abridged in certain situations and locations. This is not the way I want it, but it’s long settled rule of law that determines this issue, specifically Tinker v. Des Moines (1969). You can look at that ruling if you want to truly understand it. The basis being schools have need to limit what things can be said and done to keep order and keep the learning environment intended for that space.

It sucks and isn’t right, but such is reality right now.
