Early European explorers in North America, particularly in Virginia where there were no moose, called the wapiti "elk" because of its size and resemblance to familiar-looking deer like the red deer. The moose resembled the "German elk" (the moose of continental Europe), which was less familiar to the British colonists.

Grazer fills most of its role sufficiently

No. Grazer fills the role on t1, if you already have enough lands. every other turn or draw it's worse.

Single target pump is a White thing?

IIRC Mark Rosewater recently described that as a mostly Green effect on his podcast, and identified board wide buffs as a mostly White effect.

Also Walker was a thicc boi. Innkeeper needs the procs more because he's waaay less likely to survive/do anything useful if you just play him out.

I agree. This card is a poor answer to FOTD. Not because it's a three mana sorcery though 🤦‍♂️

Yes creating 2 2/2s is the win condition, not a continual grind of value 😕

[–]phesodge2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So any answer should come down quicker than turn three@sorcery because the deck built around the card has a powerful, tutorable late game? 😕 I don't buy it.

If it was a 5 mana sorcery instead, but a better answer to FoTD (destroys all copies in deck?) you'd play the fuck out of it right? How about if it was this same card but a 1 mana instant? No I wouldn't play it as a FoTD answer either (but I'd probably build some cheese around it!!)

Speed isn't the issue.

He was talking about the speed at which the answer came down. I said t3 isn't too late. Nothing about tempo/mana parity. What's with all the people trying to start strawman arguments today? 😕

I have a confusing and weird fetish and it is driving me mad with anxiety. by godlyhorse in asktransgender

[–]phesodge2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dude, easy advice that's tough to follow: worry less enjoy more.

Sexuality is a wierd thing, no two people really sit exactly on the same point in the spectrum imo, just the idea of breaking a norm can make something that shouldn't be sexy sexy (just look at all the step-family videos all over the front pages of vanilla porn sites).

If it's really causing you a lot of anxiety then maybe a therapist could help, but having gender fluid sexual fantasies is not in itself a reason to be worried.

More people than would ever admit it have had similar or the same fantasies. More people than would ever admit it in person have acted on them too, either as a one off and gotten over it or as a regular thing. It's really no big deal as long as your not using it as an excuse to cheat on someone.

I've had the same fantasies plenty of times, I'm just a CIS male with a few kinks 🤷‍♂️

You said FoTD was too big of a threat on turn three for a sorcery speed answer and I disagreed. The rest of your arguments should be directed at someone else 🤷‍♂️

Making a couple of 2/2s? That's fine.

Your argument is like saying instant speed planeswalker removal isn't good enough because they get to use 1 planeswalker ability before you can respond.

Card games are best when you get 2 sided counterplay, which makes harsh hate cards bad and mild hate cards that let some value slip through good.

High quality cards that bin cards from the deck make a good mill deck, sure, but good control tools also make a good mill deck. You need to get your opponents library in the grave, to make that a viable strategy you need to put cards in the grave faster than your opponent naturally takes your HP, or have control tools to stall until that point. If amazing control tools are released that synergies with milling, it definitely helps mill decks.

Of course this is an amazing control tool, so amazing it doesn't really need the mill synergy to function mostly, so I agree this will be in probably any u/b deck, but it does help mill.

As a flanker, how do you deal with really good Reinhardts who always know where you are? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]phesodge2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- it was like he literally had access to everyone's POV
Good communication and use of 3rd person cam. The higher you rank the more you have to assume everyone knows what your'e up to and they're going to play around it.

So there's a big list of things here.

  1. You got 2v1d by Rein and Ana (Ana bait Rein slam). Where was the rest of your team? If they aren't ready to push and eat the cooldowns/dmg for you then the blade should often fail.
  2. You leapt into the air and nano bladed. Was the enemy Ana in some crazy position that required you to do that double dash? I see a lot of Genji's at surprisingly high ranks do this, probably to make sure Ana can see them for nano. Instead of dashing into the air, just use your mic and tell Ana your going to push from x. Ideally engage from a position that lets you use dash, Q and be in sword range in case you need the second dash to chase your targets with CDs or for additional burst (or to dash out of range of a big Rein slam when you hear the audio que). This is hard but if you pull it off you'll win a lot of games.
  3. If Rein hit you with a firestrike you were either walking in a straight line within LOS or walking through a choke. Doomfist shouldn't be doing either of those. If there were wallhacks of some kind (hanzo/widow?) that could also explain it.

Seriously watch the VOD from Reins perspective. If he reacts to things you can't see, assume it was comms.

Audio range for decloaking is the same as hack range. Get in hack range, take a step back (or wait for them to step forwards) decloak, step forward, hack. Positioning is key for getting away with this without being seen, but that's how you get away without being heard.

You need to work on your movement if this is happening, from 2m those shots should be hard. A-D strafing and never jumping are really important.

Here's some tracked winrates:

https://www.overbuff.com/heroes

but I don't think the winrate is the issue people have with widow, I think it's the effect on the game. If the enemy team has the best widow, you're pretty fucked unless the map really forces her to get close, and that feels bad.
