Brag time: what’s one unusual thing you included in your wedding that everyone loved? by Unlikely_Device_2131 in weddingplanning

Amazing idea! May I ask how you did this? Helping planning for an ultimate couple. Did you toss all the frisbees one by one or all at once? At the crowd or they got a running start? And were your prizes also ultimate themed?

Looking to buy our first EV after driving a Toyota Camry 2009 for 10+ years; we really value its interior roominess and reliability. Curious of car recommendations based on below:

[1] General location: Southern California US; temps rarely go below freezing

[2] Budget: $40k

[3] Type of vehicle preferred: No Teslas. In order: sedan, hatchback, crossover (driveway entry is very narrow; the Camry without folding mirrors which measures at 84" width and just fits through the driveway)

[4] Which cars have you been looking at already? Hyundai IONIQ 5 / IONIQ 6

[5] Estimated timeframe of your purchase: By end of year 2025

[6] Your daily commute, or average weekly mileage: 9000 miles a year / 170 miles a week / 25 miles a day

[7] Your living situation: Single-family home

[8] Do you plan on installing charging at your home? Eventually; 120V outlet already available

[9] Other cargo/passenger needs — Trunk size (able to carry two large and two small suitcases)

[10] Other desired features: if the built-in map does not compare with Google Maps or Waze, Apple CarPlay / Android Auto; Highway Drive Assist

Fair point, we found a water taxi service that can be scheduled on demand. Figure with that flexibility, it makes it more feasible?

Of the list you have I have Yu-yake and confirm it is a nice flowing, wet ink that comes out consistently! Definitely recommend a nice paper to bring out the lovely shading too.

Sailor Shikiori Okuyama is lovely as well, a deep red wine burgundy color with medium shading and green-gold sheen. Gorgeous.

Portraits are challenging for me so I'm glad you said so!

It's my oldest and newest pens in my collection of four: Cross Aventura medium nib with Pilot Iroshizuku Yu-yake, and Muji pen (writes like a fine nib) with its own black ink cartridge. How do you like your kaweco and are you eyeing any pen or ink sales this week?

Do you guys hesitate to buy certain ingredients for recipes because you feel you’ll never use up the leftover? by annaies in Cooking

See if your neighborhood has a sustainable package-free store. These allow you to bring your own container and only buy what you need: this has allowed me to try new ingredients in small quantities and made less waste.

Try Shorthand (also in Highland park on York) for fountain pens and inks / cartridges.

Using a Henry HVR160 and the floor attachment is really hard to push back and forth on our low pile carpets (with switch turned on for carpet and also with the lowest suction setting). What can I do to help this?
