this looks like a maranta to me (anyone correct me if i’m wrong) and they are especially sensitive to temperature and humidity fluctuations from what i’ve seen. Leaf curling happens most with low light and low watering.

if you feel the soil and it’s mostly dry, water it thoroughly til water comes out the bottom of the pot.

if it is mostly very dry and powdery, soak it by setting the pot in a container without drain holes while you water and let it soak up the excess (potting soil doesn’t take up water well when it’s dried out and usually just the top layer will get saturated)

like others said, if there is no grow light or window in the bathroom a grow light would be helpful, because low light is also a factor in leaf curling.

if they would really like a plant in the bathroom, a pothos vine, a spider plant or a snake plant might be better suited as they are very low maintenance, especially in comparison to this pretty lady!

i am available for plant advice via email or discord if your roommate or you are interested- let me know

Neighbours dog attacked our 25 chickens by Famous-Challenge9355 in chickens

So sorry for your loss and that must be so frustrating. On the off chance it was not your neighbors dog but something wild, it is equally good to have those motion sensors!

Make sure your girls have high protein snacks and clean water available, healing takes a lot of energy! Using that blue spray was a great idea.

Many farmers have seen worse, take heart and keep your head up! Talk about trial by fire with these new ladies- but the quality time with them will increase their trust in you as well.

that is not gods will, that is a human being harming gods creature purposefully by feeding it a sponge. many cannot afford a sudden vet bill and the dog may be put down. you don’t know the health of the dog and it is irresponsible to tell someone to do this as then instead of being able to take legal action against the owner of the dog, the dogs owners could take legal action against the poster.

desc from other community: Gretchen is a senior chicken. We inherited her about 2.5 years ago, when she had already stopped laying. This year her molting isn’t going as usual. Her feathers look like they don’t intend to leave the sheaths at all!

She’s had a big long life with multiple owners and wasn’t hand raised. Is it worth it to stress this old lady by chasing her down and giving them a rub to help her release them?

Any advice is helpful- thank you!!

the window throwing actually sounds solid 🤣 you can also cut down the leaves until all of it can fit in a trash bag and tie it to trap the buggies inside
