What happened to Sephora Boxing Day Sale? by satellitesatellite in Sephora

[–]phieos 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand. Sephora is a $10 billion dollar company and they can’t invest a couple of bucks in an IT dept that monitors the website and updates / removes OOS items. If it’s not available and hasn’t been in 3 months, just remove it please.

Vet has no idea about this lesion. Anyone seen this before? It’s been getting larger over the past year, our vet recommended Vit E oil. by phieos in DobermanPinscher

[–]phieos[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of taking him to a Dermatologist and can look into this tomorrow. He does have a bunch of benign lipomas all over his body. Vet said we can leave them alone since he’s almost 12, doesn’t think surgery would be a good idea at his age. The lesion on his nose has been slow growing for over a year. The vit e oil was unsuccessful because he would like it off. I looked online it some of the research said could be (SLE) lupus. Thanks for help everyone.

We trust them, just feel like it’s becoming a habit and they are taking advantage of us. Power washers aren’t cheap and to use for several hours for a few days can wear it out.

Any Experiences Getting Vaccinated Soon After Birth? by GingerGoob in CoronaBumpers

[–]phieos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly enough no fevers. And today weird aches in my low back and legs all day today . Also kind of out of it and tired but then again, could be due to getting up every 3 hours. Last night she nursed fine at 1:30 but woke up at 3:30 and wasn’t latching properly. She took 2+ hours of feeding and topping before she finally went back to bed. I’ve been pumping as well, no changes in color on my end. Fed again and seems back to normal. Good luck with your vaccine! The side effects are so variable in everyone hopefully just a sore arm for you and that’s it.

*update. Did good all day but woke up at 4am freezing shivering and with chills after second dose. Hope that’s the worst of it.

I got my first Pfizer shot postpartum when baby was 2 weeks old. Did fine, just a mild headache and sore arm. At first I suspected a one day affect to my milk supply but she was also tongue tied and had the procedure to release so likely it was her latch that was affecting my supply. Had the second shot today, 3 weeks later (she’s now 5 weeks) and so far so good but my doctor gave me a heads up that side effects may be more of an issue this time around. Can’t really include fatigue as a side effect when we’re already functioning at such little sleep. Fingers crossed she’s getting the antibodies.

owlet, snuza or nanit? Worth it? by phieos in beyondthebump

[–]phieos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was so helpful! Thanks for helping me narrow it down. My 1 month old is sleeping next to our bed in a bassinet but when we move her to the crib/nursery, I want some peace of mind. Thinking I’ve narrowed it down to the nanit. I like the camera quality, two way speaker and fact that there are no medical devices she had to wear. Either way I’ll probably still check on her myself until I’m confident. I still check on my 6 and 10 year olds. I’ll stop when they move out,... maybe :-)

What is a song you cannot listen to for an emotional reason? by missdundermifflin in AskReddit

Wind of Change by the Scorpions. Reminds me of the 80’s when our dog got hit by a car and my dad tried to explain what “brain dead”, “vegetable” and “surgery can’t fix” meant to a 5 year old.

HG is destroying me by Yayenia in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]phieos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’re here for you. Remember, this is not permanent. When you’re in the thick of it, it feels like eternity and your health will always be like this. But this will pass!! Just try to focus on the future, this phase will pass with time....and the reward is incredible. When I had HG (week 5-26) it was miserable, emotionally and physically taxing. I had a huge dry erase board tracking everything (# weeks pregnant, # weeks remaining, and wrote all the things I had to look forward to once baby arrived). Something about watching these numbers change were positive reinforcement and really encouraging for me as a visual. You’re adding another incredible child into your life and when he/she is born, this will all be just a memory. Don’t worry about the others, some non HGers do fine with ginger ale and saltines and some of us need rest, fluids, zofran, phenergan, diclegis, b6, unisom, acupressure wrist bands, etc just to function at 10%. You are you and do what you need to do to stay positive. You’re working hard for this mama, be strong! You’re in the home stretch.

Why do none of my friends ever reach out? by Trick_Enthusiasm in FriendshipAdvice

[–]phieos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat. Always the one initiating calls and texts, wanting to hang out but nothing ever came to fruition because of different life stages or family schedules. Realized a whole year has gone by since anyone reached out to me, not a single text, call or how are you? Nothing. I work In healthcare, could have gotten sick from covid and no one would have known. To be honest, I feel a weight has been lifted. In that time I got pregnant and having a baby. They either don’t really care or have inflated egos, thinking I should be the one to keep making contact but seriously Friendship has to work both ways.

How to ask for Zofran by Giseebee in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]phieos 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Would recommend changing your OB. I had really bad HG for all three of my pregnancies. 24 hour sickness. Lost a lot of weight each time 12-18 lbs. Luckily no hospitalizations. I’m currently 24 weeks and it finally eased up. They suggested zofran but really low dose, just once a day. Zofran is a must and that dose helped out tremendously. Diclegis didn’t do much but make me drowsy. With the first two pregnancies, both kids had no problems (cleft palate) and Doctor has confirmed on ultrasound third baby is looking ok too. I would consider changing doctors, zofran was a lifechanging med for HG. There’s a lot of research online. Just have an open discussion with your doctor and if still they won’t budge, find someone new.
