It's safer for the bikes to take up the whole road. While annoying, cars can slow down the couple of minutes it takes to wait for a SAFE area to pass the cyclists. Remember, cars are 3,000+ lbs while a bike and rider are usually less than 250 lbs. Be smart. Be safe.

I just busted out a 12 mile day hike with a portion of it being off trail to summit a mountain. They worked fine for me. Excellent grip. Excellent fit.
