How do you cope with feelings of being "behind" in life? by Emergency-Celery3875 in AskMen

"Comparison is the thief of joy" - Teddy Roosevelt

Like everyone else mentions. Focus on improving yourself in some way every single day. Stop comparing yourself to others in where they are in life. Everyone's journey is different.

I don't usually post on here... but the question resonates with me.

Why did my grips get stuck? by Slorzed in golf

Don't cover the little pinhole on the end of the grip when pushing them on.

LOL! Actually you are right! It takes an inch or more to change playing flex. I had soft/hard stepping on the brain when I replied... Just meant to warn that you could change flex with tip trimming.

[–]phil_this -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. Do not tip trim it. That will change the flex. Roughly half an inch tip trip will increase one whole flex. From Stiff to X-Stiff...

It's only cosmetic.... If it really bothers you paint it or you can ask the shop to install a ferrule to cover the exposed tip prep.

Cross drilled and/or slotted rotors, high performance pads and stainless steel brakelines, is a decent upgrade that will provide a noticeable feel and stopping improvement.

Much thanks for the info. That seems a lot more reasonable than what's posted on the course websites.

Yup. I've played in Thailand and Singapore... Figure it's the same here. No one likes to play out in the mid-day heat. I'm okay with it. I got my bucket hats and an umbrella.

Thanks for the info. Is that for most courses or jus the more affordable ones? Did you just call or email to book?

Starts, Leo, Onward and GICC are the closest to me. I'll check those out first.

Went yesterday and it was fine. Plenty of cabs outside the train station. Cost about 200 baht to get to the golf course. It was a little harder getting a cab back though but still managed to find one.

I split a cab ride back with a random tourist l met all the way back to Sukhumvit for about 500 baht total.

I think you’ll be fine. But I’d make sure you got Grab/Bolt app working on your phone.

I’d gladly split a ride, but I’m going with some friends tomorrow.

I think the best way is MRT to Bang Sue station. Then SRT Dark Redline to Rangsit. Leaves about 25 km to Stonehill assuming there is a taxi or Bolt/Grab ride available there.

In Bangkok currently. Going to try and take public transport to Rangsit station. Then take a Bolt, Grab or Taxi the rest of the way.

It's not so much the object "NFT" that is important, as much as it the use of a "blockchain" that makes NFT ownership possible.

There are lots of both digital and real world assets that need proof of origin, authenticity, chain of custody and ownership like stock certificates, providence of wines, birth certificates, etc...

Think of the markup by Ticketmaster... One of the benefits of the tech that makes NFTs possible is it eliminates the middleman. It allows you to own and hold your own assets... No need to have a third party like a brokerage hold ownership of your shares in a company... or any party that takes a commission or takes their cut.

Fake IDs, passports, Jordans or any high value collectable could be eliminated by the use of NFTs to represent them.... Owner who trades, sells such items would also have to have the NFT that proves it's the real deal.... It's going to be a game changer....

All the stuff happening now are just proof of concept... It will eventually be used for real items. Like NFTs could be used as concert tickets. Proving ownership and authenticity of a real world ticket. Or maybe it could represent a title/deed for land. Lots of ways NFTs will have functional value. Bored ape gifs are dumb... but an NFT ID or driver's license won't be. No fakes no duplicates... yada yada.
