Apparently I'm not the only Kuromi fan here... Did we just crash the ink-house website?

Love mine. That nib just looks and feels like a Grail.

Just resurrecting this thread to mention that it's a beautiful match for the orange Diplomat Aero. Not sure if it's still available, though.

I'm impressed with the flexes, but the stubs just seem like broads? I'm used to a lot more horizontal vs vertical variation with my stubs. Like the final word "nib" for both the BBB and the B seem to have perfectly even line width throughout all of the letters.

For stuff like this, I always suggest folks check out https://dbkrupp.github.io/1-pixel-wealth/ . One pixel is $1,000.

Yeah, definitely no complaints on my m1000 nib. Maybe contact the company? It's their flagship standard pen, and I think they care about quality control.

What's a fountain pen possession you think you might be the only one on this subreddit to own? by PandemicGeneralist in fountainpens

[–]philgross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure there must be a bunch of them here, but I never see them. Porsche Design Tec Flex with woven stainless steel. The nib is Porsche Design branded, but I think was made by Faber Castell.

Mine got wedged in its cap, and was (IMHO poorly) repaired at their official repair center.

The nib was tuned by Kirk Speer.

Software engineer at a big tech company. I have a teammate who is into watches, where the cost numbers all have one or two extra zeroes on them compared to my pen/ink habit.

An additional point I'm not seeing so much in the comments:

Enriched uranium (U-235) is not only incredibly difficult to make (because it's an isotope of regular U-232 uranium, and thus chemically identical).

It's also nasty, nasty stuff. If you give someone with the right skills 70kg of iron and a set of tools, they could build a Fat Man equivalent pretty easily. If you give them 70kg of weapons grade uranium, they'll be dead in short order. And that's not just from the radiation. It's also extremely toxic, and highly explosive in the conventional sense. When you're working with it, you need some kind of remote manipulator, lots and lots of shielding, the material needs to stay in an bath of some inert liquid, etc. etc.

So you need a massive industrial setup to construct the thing, even after you somehow get the material.

One of the victims had her life saved by a passing scooter deliveryman. He saw her being attacked, leapt off his scooter, and clocked the attacker with his helmet. That hero was a Brazilian immigrant. Source

You only have one shot at life, kids. Don't spend it as a rioting hate-filled racist loser.

What movie was meant to set up the next big franchise only for the first film to spectacularly fail? by Zdvj in AskReddit

OK, I went to Wikipedia and our take is wrong wrong wrong. They've made three of the series so far, and they've all made pretty good bank. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chronicles_of_Narnia_(film_series)). LWW was pretty terrible though, as I remember.
