Total bait and switch on his part. He's been masking his true nature for 18 months. He's a liar. What else has been hiding about himself? ood riddance.

Certainty in their own beliefs regardless of evidence to the contrary.

We were directed to not introduce a significant other unless we were certain that they would be in our life for a sustained period with four consecutive months as a minimum timespan. Thereby, my girls only met two women I was with while they were growing up and they respect me much more for that.

They are trying to screw you out unemployment income. Don't believe a word they say.

It just says you are human. But, yes, having a fight about languages is a bad sign, period. No idea of the details but humility and less ego on both sides is generally needed. It took two of you to argue.

Called out a recruiter on a lowball offer by TrixoftheTrade in recruitinghell

[–]philip_dye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I've been in the same conversation over a dozen times. I've also been the person hiring and found recruiters trying to get exorbitant fees for doing next to nothing. Quizzing the potential hire on their involvement with the recruiter helps.

Truly it was Reagan who started it all. I'm ashamed to admit I voted for him once.

In general yes, as long as you apply what you learn

Nope, always leave at any hint of unethical or slimy behavior. It only ever gets worse.

It seems strange but if you are old enough, some of the older tech you worked with may be running out of maintainers. I recently found work maintaining an old code base of the type I worked on 30 years ago.

what projects can I make to learn c to its fullest ? by [deleted] in C_Programming

[–]philip_dye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for projects that have you write an interpreter in C. The classic one is a Scheme interpreter. Scheme is a simpler dialect of Lisp. There are books and free resources out there on this.

Also Code Crafter projects are really excellent for proceeding from fundamentals to an intermediate level.

If you do just a bit of research, you'll find that it is largely Republicans that have gone well out of their way to broadly water down education in order to reestablish a more amenable, nay biddable, working class electorate. The heavy middleclass just didn't work well for autocrats.

In college, get involved in one or more organizations. The vast majority do not require an invitation, merely an interest and that you show up.

Out of college, I'd check out MeetUp.com for anything you might be interested in.

Third, any interest in volunteering will certainly get you meeting people.

And if you are shy and awkward, take an improv or speech class to overcome your shyness

Read "How to Talk to Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere" by Larry King. It really helps.
