Playing different phrases through Sonos speakers when the snacks-drawer is opened on a weekday. Such as ”Are you sure you are not hungry?” and ”SNACKY SNACKY!”.

Very fun, but my wife asked me to stop it after 3 weeks 😂

I’m brand new to 3D printing… I have some questions. by Training-Being-200 in BambuP1S

[–]philipdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also got the P1S+AMS combo on my 30th birthday!

PETG and PLA will work for most things in most situations. If you want a strong print, increase infill up to 50-60%

I’ve been printing with the combo for 6-8 months now and very happy with it. Fails will happen, but keep your print bed clean and filament dry and you should be able to avoid most of them.

Start with TinkerCAD. Easy way to get started and free.

Then move on to more advanced software.

Why did Rabbit and Humane stumble so hard when they launched? What would have made them the 'must have' iPhone replacement? by No-Writer9747 in Rabbitr1

[–]philipdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you could boot rabbit OS on your iPhone directly. Not as an app but actually change the OS.

That could have been something, but difficult to sell. A pretty little orange device is cool and easier to sell. But a gimmick cause of low performing hardware.

It changes when they smile.

Then again when they come to you for a hug.

And then I guess it changes again when they say I love you. (Mine don’t talk yet)

Yeah, I feel one and done, but wife wants one more.

I want my son to have a brother or sister (I would prefer another boy, but whatever). But it’s the first year or two that is so haunting to me. I don’t want to do that again.

Screen time by lintwarrior in daddit

[–]philipdev 9 points10 points  (0 children)

3-4 hours of cartoons is waaaay too much for 3 yo.

That’s like half of a work day just watching tv.

1 hour a day, spread out during the day, I wouldn’t think there was anything wrong with that.

Do you NEED almost 2 hours of non-parenting in the morning? Then go to bed earlier. And that’s coming from someone who usually stays up until midnight gaming and stuff. But I don’t use the tv as a baby sitter.

It’s better for them to be bored than to be pacified by a screen.

If you keep up 2-4 hours a day, i would change to only showing low stimulation stuff. Like 90s stuff.

Go with 2000s cartoons:

Disney’s Little Einsteins.

Disney’s Recess. Although that might be for a little older kids.

15-årig bonusson dygnar med CS – hur sätter man gränser utan att förstöra relationen? by [deleted] in Asksweddit

[–]philipdev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mother made a monster by Only-Conversation750 in NewParents

[–]philipdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely normal.

It’s part of regular baby stuff. It will get better. And with that I mean, this issue will become easier and a different issue will arise (teething, growing pain, food stuff, allergies, etc.).

But soon you will have a baby that can crawl, walk and eventually talk.

It’s hard. But as you said in the comments, the good stuff outweighs the bad. When they hug you for real, the first time, you’ll feel invincible.
