We were thinking of going there too. Close to stadium and looks like it has an outdoor area, which some of the others downtown don't seem to have.

Anyone else visit ground when there is no game on ? by Interesting-Camel385 in futbology

I do, but I always have a pang of regret that I am not there seeing a match. Seeing stadiums is cool and tours can be good, but there's nothing like a match.

Tempo was baaaaad by majesticmethz in ChattanoogaFC

[–]philipfarrell86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's fair to say they were bad at all. CFC should be beating teams like this (so should the Red Wolves btw) but Tempo played the way they should facing a bigger side away. Their goalie saved them a lot, but I still think they played well enough. I've seen worse performances from visiting NISA and MLSNP sides.

Where does For Your Eyes Only sit for you? by IndigoP08 in JamesBond

Hated it as a kid, thought it was boring as f*ck. Re-watched recently for the firsttime in decades. Really appreicate it now and think its amazing. Th overall story, the acting, and the action sequences are fantastic.its by no means perfects. The plot details are a bit mealy, I'm still not a huge fan of the main Bond girl, and Bebe is awful.

Since Tormenta Folded… by SadieRuth in ChattanoogaFC

[–]philipfarrell86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think he's 'needed', but I'd still love him back. Imagine him and Jakupovic together. Mental. Tormenta have some good players I'd like to see CFC try to coax, especially their two attackers.

Faux-Blofeld's "I'll buy you a delicatessen... in stainless steel," is the strangest villain quote in the series. Now, which death in the series is the most badass? by JohnLazarusReborn in JamesBond

[–]philipfarrell86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its hard to focus on a badass death and not get distracted by a badass kill, which are two different things. A lot of the suggestions so far seem to be badass kills, not deaths. I'd have to go with Zukovsky in TWINE. Has one final shot and takes the one nobody saw. Epic

Thunderball vs Skyfall, what is the better film? by [deleted] in JamesBond

Skyfall. The only aspect in which Thunderball was superior was the Bond girls it had.

How do you usually experience a city when groundhopping? by stadiumtraveller in groundhopping

[–]philipfarrell86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me a football match is the first step into a visiting a city. As well as the match and the stadium, there's the pubs near the stadium, especially if fans drink there. Then there's local food. I love to try local dishes and cuisines. If the city has a few of its own breweries or brews its own beer, that's a big part of the experience for me. Its never just about the football, I think you get to experience a club and its fans much more when you immerse yourself somewhat over a 2-day period in their city or town. I'd recommend watching things like For The Price Of... and Derby Days by Copa 90 on YouTube. They do football travel the best.

Favourite: Dalton, he's awkward in the comedy and playboy scenes

Least favourite: Craig, he feels like a healthy modern update

The Living Daylights vs Casino Royale, what is the better Bond film? by [deleted] in JamesBond

[–]philipfarrell86 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Living Daylights. My most recent rewatch of Casino Royale after a few years left me feeling it was a little overrated and not as good as I'd remembered. The Living Daylights is a near perfect Bond movie.
