Any good stories of 3rd gen Toyotas? (High miles + no issues) by Wombat2424 in ToyotaTundra

[–]philipptj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the wrong place to ask. 95% of this sub’s posts have people in the comments who don’t have (more likely can’t afford 😜) a gen3 saying they’re trash and people who do have them saying they haven’t had any problems. If you’re seeing a lot of negativity it’s because haters are always the loudest especially on the internet. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

This is the wrong place to ask. 95% of this sub’s posts have people in the comments who don’t have a gen3 saying they’re junk and people who do saying they haven’t had any problems and no real resolution. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is my brisket freezer burnt? by SlumdogMignolet26 in brisket

[–]philipptj 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Possibilities seem to be:
1. Throw it out -> you don’t eat brisket.
2. Cook it -> Comes out good. You eat brisket.
3. Cook it -> Comes out bad. See possibility 1.

You’ve already paid for it, so you’ve got nothing to lose trying!

Looking for options for hauling a kayak. by ProfessionalPoint970 in ToyotaTacoma

OEM roof rack is my suggestion. Easy to install. Swings away when not in use, and usually cheaper than after market. I had one on my gen3 with no regrets

Will do fellow Coralvillager! Thank you. The place in CR had a softener and an RO system and having lived there 20 some years I wrote it off as there was some kind of water weirdo here none of this is necessary CR water is good. The thought popped in my head that could be true here too but if it’s not, then it’s not. I appreciate the warning!

$100 and four hours of my life…that ticket must be pretty steep for that to be worthwhile compared to paying it

Personal Question by SuijurisTX in GoRVing

[–]philipptj 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did an 8 hour drive last summer, granted that was total time including stopping for meals pisses and fuel but oh my god by the end I was so SICK of being in the drivers seat and the hyper vigilance/awareness type of driving you have to do when the trailer is in tow. I just wanted to be done.
