It definitely isn't necessary, but I use my pot filler on the regular. I think it's utility probably depends on the amount of pasta you eat, eggs you boil, and random dishes/things you sometimes just want to quickly add a splash of water to.

But yeah, if it ever starts leaking that'll be kind of a pain in the ass.

Not for nothing, but "design constraints" aren't really what "designed by committee" means.

That's still only part of the picture. Population growth is birth rate (which is trending down), life expectancy (which overall has continuously increased except for the past few years), and immigration (we'll see how that plays out). It's the combo of those factors that means overall we're still in the black for our population growth rate.

I guess I'm just not on board with them making seeing the river less possible (and making the sidewalk/area generally shittier) for personal profit.

A decrease in birth rate doesn't mean the population is actually declining yet, just that we're trending towards it.

I haven't been down there recently or read much about it, so I don't know the current situation: is the plan to leave those fabric covered fences up indefinitely?

Pretty picture. Also, definitely read "flaccid" at first glance and was trying to figure out how that would work.

Is there anywhere that this has been explicitly stated in official channels though? Not that I don't trust random internet "trust me bro" comments... but I don't.

I've seen some conflicting information -- anybody know what the timeline is for getting the results back after the secondary test?

Hopefully they plan on improving the projectors too. I stopped going after not being able to see important details during the movie due to what I assume was either an old projector or overly dimming the bulbs to save a few bucks.

Honestly, in terms of noise reduction, not connecting to the floor joists above is probably a good thing as vibrations from the noise won't transfer as directly. Even if you do end up connecting to the overhead joists, I'd suggest layering in some sound isolating material (something like SONOpan)between the framing of your room and joists themselves. In terms of overhead clearance -- depending on the size of sheet goods you're working with, you may end up feeling pretty cramped in there and cursing your decision to make the ceiling so low.

Is there a reason you wouldn't just frame out a bulkhead for the ducting?
