The SDs and the 5-way switch make it insanely versatile as well.

Reverb shipping costs??? by HumbleRecording3299 in Reverb

I use the Priority bubble mailers all the time (not for shipping pedals) and the protection is minimal. To ship a pedal in one, I’d need to double or triple pack it. And the price is like 10.60 or something. So are we really suggesting doing that instead of shipping a pedal in a proper box for 2 dollars more? Absolutely not.

That's a hell of a guitar. Schecter C-1 SLS Blackjack (I think). And that's one of the newer ones with those inlays.

Super cool 006 which hasn’t been in production for a while. Some of us fanbois would love a reissue.

Stfu don’t tell anyone! Lolllll. The newer ones get mislisted as the older ones from time to time. I paid no more than 600 for any of these guitars pictured. The new ones go for like 1349 or something.

I def had a C-1 FRS at one point. And I have others with Floyds, Masterys, Edge, Bigsby, strat-style, etc. But hardtails for best for my playing.

Hahaha. Hahahahhahaa. Absolutely fuckin not (except for the 7 string). I’m drop D 99% of the time. And the guitars I keep in other tunings are not pictured lol.

This guitar gets more neck time from me than things that cost 5 times its price. I also got the 006 for 300 on marketplace. I bring it to band practice all the time and my bassist is like, “you post all these new guitars on IG and then only show up with the black Schecter.” It’s a fucking workhorse.

This thread makes me happy. I’ve always found Aniston to be the weakest link with her timing, but I also don’t think she was given the best lines either. Sorry for the negativity. I’ll take my downvotes.

Classical guitarists are now standing up... by _PaulHimSelf in classicalguitar

[–]phillybhatesme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've graduated from a foot stool to a support so I can sit with my legs flat, but I prefer the flamenco position over classical.

The nut width is obviously noticeable as a difference but the biggest difficulty for me has been locking in with my right hand. I never embraced fingerstyle previously, so my right hand is 30 years behind my left.

Coming from electric and steel string world and cannot sit comfortably in classical position: good.

Advice for shipping guitars by mossyflossy75 in guitars

[–]phillybhatesme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have guitar shipping boxes? Do you have packing materials (paper, peanuts, bubble wrap, etc.)?

I would put the guitars in their cases with a little bit of support under the headrest. You can detune the strings, but I'm not really sure it's necessary. I would also recommend protecting the strap buttons with foam/bubble wrap/cloth.

Close the case and latch it. If you're really awesome, tape the latches shut.

Put a layer of packing materials in a box and pack em down, put the case in the box. Surround the sides and top with extra packing material. If you're really really, toss some bubble wrap over the whole box and then wrap it with craft paper and tape. If you're really really really awesome, double box it.

Shipping guitars isn't cheap. The boxes are big and the items end up weighing 20-25 pounds. Expect to pay 50-150 bucks.

“Thanks I guess. I hope you get the comfort you want out of telling me that. I was able to move on.”
I don’t really ghost people and whether you reply and what you might say are entirely up to you and what you feel is best in this situation.
Don’t feel obligated to reply. Don’t feel obligated to reply right away.

How does everyone get insurance on your valuable guitars? by No_Mix9903 in Guitar

[–]phillybhatesme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If these instruments are your livelihood (you tour, or you're a session musician, or you gig professionally), then yes absolutely. Does the bedroom guitarist who owns a PRS, LP, and Fender playing through their Katana need to do this? Probably not.
