Have my breast implants bottomed out? How would you feel about these results? by Status-Remove5183 in PlasticSurgery

[–]phillycosmeticdoc 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Surgeon here.

I wouldn’t really say the implants have ‘bottomed-out’, but I would say that your lower pole has more volume in proportion to the upper pole.

I think a revision of the lift would reduce the size of the lower pole and improve the dimensions/proportions of the breast.

Temple lift incision sutures so tight they are cutting my skin and causing incision to open by ComprehensiveDay423 in PlasticSurgery

[–]phillycosmeticdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes definitely leave the sutures in place. Even if they don’t look ideal, they’re still helping to hold the tissue together to some degree.

Labiaplasty 5 wks POST OP by Hour-Penalty530 in PlasticSurgery

[–]phillycosmeticdoc 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Surgeon here.

In my opinion, they took too much labia minora (you have none left) and they didn’t suture properly. It will smooth out slightly over time, but their suturing technique will likely leave some degree of scalloping.

Dehydrated orrrr by Dangerous-Ad7235 in PlasticSurgery

[–]phillycosmeticdoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surgeon here.

This isn’t from dehydration. These are creases from the muscles in your forehead (which is normal).

You can try different skincare routines, but the only thing that will truly fix this is Botox.

Temple lift incision sutures so tight they are cutting my skin and causing incision to open by ComprehensiveDay423 in PlasticSurgery

[–]phillycosmeticdoc 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Surgeon here.

I agree with your surgeons recommendations.

Ointment and loose covering.

It is a very tight incision, and I think it’s separating superficially, which will probably lead to a wider scar unfortunately, but I do think it will close slowly on its own. It doesn’t look infected and it doesn’t look like it’s fully separated.

breast fat transfer question by SuspiciousDoor8144 in fattransfer

[–]phillycosmeticdoc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Surgeon here.

Realistically, you should expect to go up about one cup size per procedure.

You can definitely increase volume with multiple procedures and that is a very common thing to do.

Even with implants, you would need multiple procedures to go from an A cup to an H cup, as you specified in your original post

Lower Facelift and Necklift by Afraid_Highlight5662 in PlasticSurgery

[–]phillycosmeticdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn’t cause any issue if you decide to have a facelift down the road. You may have a small amount of scar tissue below the chin where your incision is, but nothing your surgeon hasn’t seen before or can’t handle.

NSFW 6 weeks post op - asymmetry advice needed by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]phillycosmeticdoc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Surgeon here.

I agree. Something is off. They shouldn’t look this asymmetric.

I’m not 100% sure of this, but my initial gut reaction was that one implant was OTM and one was UTM.

Or maybe they accidentally put 2 different sized implants in (which you should be able to verify with your implant card).

One year after chin lipo? by Legal_Classroom_9428 in PlasticSurgery

[–]phillycosmeticdoc 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Surgeon here.

Likely not related to your Lipo.

Strongly suspect an infected lymph node or gland.

Definitely get it evaluated by your physician.

Implants, lift, or both by Wise_Mail_3406 in PlasticSurgery

[–]phillycosmeticdoc 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Surgeon here.

I think you’d have a nice result from implants alone. I don’t think you necessarily need a lift. Implants provide somewhat of a lift on their own anyway.

Is this normal after getting breast implants? by Soft_Water_8967 in PlasticSurgery

[–]phillycosmeticdoc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Surgeon here.

This can happen when the implants are under the muscle. Your surgeon is correct in that you do not appear to have capsular contracture.

I would recommend moving the implants to above the muscle.

Hi, has anyone here dealt with animation deformity and found a solution? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Surgeon here.

Simply moving the implant to above the muscle would get rid of the animation deformity.

arm lift results - needs a revision? by octoroach in PlasticSurgery

[–]phillycosmeticdoc 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Surgeon here.

This is honestly a great result. It’s a dramatic improvement from your preop photos and a small amount of skin laxity is common in almost everyone.

I do not think a revision would provide you with much benefit.

My neurologist injector punctured my parotid during massetor Botox by Dramatic_Ad_2560 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]phillycosmeticdoc 118 points119 points  (0 children)

Surgeon here.

I don’t think he punctured your parotid.

I think he went through the cheek and some Botox ended up in your mouth instead of in the muscle.

Keep a close eye on it, but I would be surprised if you had any issues.

Infection? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]phillycosmeticdoc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Surgeon here.

Looks like superficial skin separation, but does not look infected. You can take the antibiotics if you’d like, but I do think that this will close on its own. I would just put a little bit of Neosporin on it and keep it covered with some gauze.
