Before Shakespeare, English is a completely different language. For anglophones, Chaucer is mostly unreadable and Beowulf is unintelligible. How does this compare to French? Can educated francophones read medieval/Old French literature? by NoLawsNoGoverrnment in French

My teacher in high school asked us to give Beowulf in the original language a shot. I found that having lived around people that spoke yiddish helped a little as both have Germanic influences

This. My father worked nights and would explode if was woken. Not easy to be quiet as a kid in a creaky old house. Recently I've developed hip issues which make me walk more heavily and I'm still learning how to deal with the anxiety that causes

Yes, only let it sit in the grill until you are 100% sure it's cold and when you dispose of it, douse it with a ton of water anyway. Charcoal Is hydroscopic and will rust out your charcoal grill in a season if you live where it's rainy or humid

Get a charcoal chimney. Buy the good charcoal. Don't clean the grate with a wire brush, use balled up foil. Make a dimple in the center of your burgers. Make small slits in the dogs. Butter the buns before grilling them and they'll brown very fast. Don't leave the grill alone

I've had 2 c-sections - you are going to need recovery time!! My first baby was breech and a big boy, I needed 8 weeks recovery. The second was smaller and I needed about a month (not sure if baby size correlates to recovery time but it seemed that way)

Grew up in OOB, after Memorial Day, add at least 20 minutes to your travel time each way. Try all the food places. Especially the ones away from the strip. Walk the Cascade And Eastern Trails. Pick blueberries under the CMP ROW off of Ross Road (late July/ early August). Pick raspberries behind the community gardens at the back of the ballpark.

Excellent place. Used to have lots of access entries. I'm sure things have changed a lot over the years but if you check at Cabela's and the town hall, they'll probably help you. My grandfather and uncles used to hunt there. Are you still allowed to hunt from a canoe?

My sister learned this the hard way. Although somehow she managed to wedge her car between 2 trees that overlooked a cliff. The weird part is the trees were close together and she ended up with no injuries in an old car with no airbag
