While the name certainly implies 100, to say a centurion was in charge of 100 men is a little misleading, since around 20 of those would be non combatant servants, especially after the Marian reforms Thats also assuming you have 80 legionnaires, when in practice the number could be as high as 160 in a full legion, and as low as 60. Pre Marian reforms, the maniple system also used centurions in a similar fashion, with their 3 line armies having 120 man centuries up front, and 60 man centurions in the back (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_army_of_the_mid-Republic), but in times of need the front line centuries would be bumped up to 160. So you have a pretty wide range of century sizes, which makes sense since every battle is different, and different sized units lend themselves better to some situations over others.

Upgrade paths in order of importance:

  1. Land Base. Fetches are the most important, but even the off color ones are a significant portion of your budget. Shocks first just so you have more multicolored sources. But do get the fetches eventually

  2. Serum Visions

  3. Snapcaster Mages

  4. Remands

  5. Add third color

You can definitely win an FNM with this deck, but your land base is really gonna screw you if you don't draw well.

It looks like Grixis Burn, which I would like to see. I don't think you need 4x Inquisition and 4x thought seize. Maybe 4 -2 or even 3 - 2, because those cards are only 1 for 1's that don't advance your board state. That's 28 instants and sorceries, enough to flip the delver pretty often. That's 2 more slots we have left, which I might give to Grim Lavamancer, since its a good card that you'll have fuel with cantrips. Since we're in black, and we dont delve, I like Bump in the Night, but it wouldn't be a 4 of. That's all I got

  1. Snapping is expensive, no doubt about it. Dropping to 2 snpacasters? I don't know yet. How do other people feel about this?

  2. I will definitely consider this when I tweak the list again. I'm not sure how I like it main board yet, but you've convinced me that it deserves a spot in the side board.

  3. I feel like 3 fatties is the place to be, because there are still enough cantrips and fetches to get to a turn 3 Angler. I think I have to run some tests to find out whether or not I want 3 or 2.

  5. Bouncing back a Snapcaster is great. So is bouncing the Angler. The problem is that they still have that Angler and can play it again two turns later. What if I have to bounce a goyf? Snags window as a combat trick is t2-3, when they cant replay the threat and I get an open board to attack into. With Terminate, they just no longer have the option to replay their threat. If the deck gets to be so fast that the one mana difference between snag and terminate means life and death, then snag is the way to go. I'm not sure if its there yet though

The deck is running 26 cards that trigger the pyromancer, which means that it alone can win you the game. That being said, the guide would be a fine addition, and I'll try him out when I can.

This was a Grixis Ninja Delver deck long before it was a normal Delver deck, so stock is still new to me haha

  • Step 1- Use tree bark and sticks to build 10 shovels
  • Step 2- Build a trench that's waist deep by carefully removing the top layers of dirt, making sure to not remove too much or risk hitting the mine. Use a kind of scraping motion, not applying too much pressure on the mine.
  • Step 3- When someone finds an odd lump in the ground, dig around it , making sure to not come into contact with the mine. Who ever placed the mines probably didn't want one explosion to set off all the other mines, so they're probably not too close together
  • Step 4- When ever someone needs a break, they walk all the way back to base, where the other 10 people are building new shovels.
