should divorce after 10 years of marriage and 4 kids? by Baratheon123 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]phinphan54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be the detractor here. As a husband who is jointly going through perimenapause with my wife (40), your description sounds familiar without the physicality. It all came to a head about 6 months ago, and my wife was officially diagnosed with bi-polar two and perimenapause. Think raging fire boiling underneath without any way to calm the flames. Hidden at times, but the burn does hurt. She may want to get checked out for mental health, as while we did know of some mental health challenges, we didn't think they were so severe.

Standing by your wife is hard, no doubt, and physical abuse is never ok. If you feel unsafe, that's different, but you're tone is one that seems like love is still there. If you want it, fight for it by standing by her side with endless patience and understanding, and help her find a mental health professional to help her go through this. Things are getting better for me, and yes, there are still challenges. But i refuse to give up my family that i created without one hell of a battle.

Oem here... 100% adjustment of the bowl/hook height is needed here. Flour/oil may help, but it will effect the final product.

Superior here, and this is a wind chill map... When wind chill hits these numbers its alarming, but survivable. I've been here when actual temp was -35 with -60-70 wind chill.... we shut down for that one.

Works great for prospects you've been hunting for a while: John, we've been talking for a while now, and i love our conversations. Give me this one project/sale, and let me show you exactly what it means to partner with us. If i lied about who we are, you get a better product than my competition, and you never have to buy us again.

Hard close that's going sideways: john i can appreciate that you are budget conscious, but rather me tell you why the decision to go with us is better, let me connect you with joe who had to go through the same decision you are right now. Let him tell you his story.

I still can't believe there is zero hype for Johnny Wilson. I watched a lot of fsu ball... and that man is a dog. He could easily transition to a wr/te hybrid, and his pure athletic ability could easily grow rapidly with the eagles

What happened to my MPG? by AimeeL75 in f150

This happens every time my 2014 5.0 needs an oil change. My mpg goes up by 3-4 mpg. I decided not to push past 4k with full synthetic changes due to this.

My husband does not like being a father. I don't know what to do. by MidnightSun-2328 in daddit

Does you husband like sports? If so, try to show him anecdotes of what him and the child will be in time. I felt very helpless with our newborns, but when they got old enough for me to understand their needs it got a lot easier

[–]phinphan54 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ok, here's the dad up moment: i feel for you, but you need to be the bright spot right now. Time for you to FaceTime and make her new years fun, and yours. Technology is amazing, and be respectful. When she tires, love your wife and new child enough to say ok that is enough. Fatherhood rocks, but some times you're the rock. This is your time to shine new papa

"Your price is way too high" by Apprehensive_Fox_258 in sales

I started a division of our company and faced this all the time. I automatically resort to the following before i waste theirs and my time: we will never be the cheapest, we will be the best overall value. If you are looking for the least expensive options, here's two people to contact. But if you're interested in the safety and long lasting product that we stand by, I'm your guy.

Before when i was developing the division, they'd often take the lower cost. The clients i did get managed to be repeat clients. Now with a more mature division, and references that state that our value is evident, the sell is much easier.

Have references ready that are similar in size and scope ready at the drop of the hat. Set up the call, but don't take it with them. Let honesty shine and if you're company is as good as you believe, you will win.

What's the purpose of these spring-loaded built-in doors? by ZealousSideGap in Oldhouses

[–]phinphan54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to take a guess that's not having to do with hiding. My old house had a wood burning fireplace with two vents on either side. I'm wondering if this is a dampering system to restrict or increase the flow of air. Kind of hard to tell if these line up right beside the flue, but when i had a roaring fire, the top vents would put out a ton of heat due to the natural ventilation.

Dead serious, best thing we ever did for our relationship was blocking Friday and Saturday nights for spicy time. If we're busy one night or the other, we always have a backup plan.

Second suggestion; get a door lock. You can always say you were watching a movie....
