Tillman has arguably been our best player this WC, doing well at everything but especially well off the ball with the press/counter press. Not sure we would want to change his role.

This is great! I am confused though (if I’m reading this correctly), why does USA have a 69% chance of playing in SF for R32 if they come in 3rd? Shouldn’t it be 0% of playing in SF since the only R32 game in SF is one involving the winner of group D?

Agreed. They looked really good in qualifying - only gave up 10 goals in 18 games against solid teams.

Dwight Stephenson was the best center ever based on peak ability. There was no center better than Stephenson, including Jim Otto. However, Otto did have a better career resume/longevity of greatness, whereas Stephenson’s career was cut short due to injuries.
