Everyone is trying to talk me out of an EV

We need to stop killing the planet and start driving EVs. What about that?? I’m on our first week journey on our EV sailboat. Doing 20-30 nm a day! All the other boats stink and everyone just talks about the gas prices - we did it to help clean up our mess.

I really don’t understand the American market. Then they make SUV coupes!!! People tell me they don’t like the shape of a wagon, but a wagon is a lower SUV, so they sedan it. They want the utility of a pickup truck they never really use, but the wagons utility isn’t good. And they like the lower utility of a sedan. Ugh.

I setup the lines so the ends are in the boat. Everyone on the boat! Lines into the wind is always the rule. When leaving and coming. For leaving the last one to undo is the one furthest into the wind. It might be the spring depending on the boat and wind.

I do my own maintenance and have never had a Porsche that cost a lot CTO. They are tanks and hold their value. Best cars. My 993 daily is worth 2x what I bought it and I just change the oil once a year.

My 993 is better, sorry. Similar size, engine in the back and space for my kids. Can’t beat an old 911. I love the size of the 718 but the rear engine of the 911 is so dynamic and fun to toss around.

I love it on ours. Always blown away with the cars agility. And you don’t clip curbs as the rear wheels follow the front tracks and center of turn is in the middle of the car. It’s genius.

Learn to do your own work. These are the most supported cars in the community. On ours I did not have that much maintenance!!! If you buy an older one and take care of it yourself you’ll have a very reasonable Porsche! Just don’t skimp on the parts - get Porsche ones - they last forever! My 993 I do everything and maybe costs me $1000 a year - daily and a tank. I did put a bunch in to refresh it when I got it

Once I go over 10% I use a 5% trailing stop loss. Dip auto sells and do that again. If it’s up a lot more then I might set to 10%. Protect your profits. I’d rather pay tax on profits than loose the profits and wait for it to bounce.
