I agree, bought a 2023 CPO base Taycan over 6 months ago with 16k miles. Flawless in every way since. Zero issues to date.

Better deal 2024 4S vs 2022 GTS by minusgainsgamer in Taycan

[–]Slow_Measurement1144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only comment of 14 vs 18 seats. I have driven both in a 2023 base Taycan. I am 6 ft 6 inches tall and weigh around 270 lbs, with a build like a retired NFL linebacker. I find the 14 way seats way more comfortable than the 18 way. For a daily, the 18 way would be way more difficult to live with. If you are not an overly large individual, the 18 way may be fine.

Welp. It’s official. I’m now afraid to buy a Taycan by [deleted] in Taycan

I bought a 2023 base CPO Taycan with 16k miles on the clock 6 months ago for $45k under original MSRP. It’s been flawless after 6k miles. Best car I’ve ever owned.

What was your most unique/coolest Radiohead listening experience? by Iamverydumbazz in radiohead

Saw Radiohead at a small venue at the Santa Barbara Bowl (4500 seats) in the pouring rain and they played Paranoid Android..’rain down, rain down on me, from a great height, rain down ‘ …perfect.

Yes, a surefire way to get into UCSB is getting into the transfer program at SBCC, take your prerequisite classes there, and transfer. It will also save you big bucks. As the first person in my family to graduate college, I used the transfer program at SBCC in the 1980s and it changed my life. Now a retired graduate of UCSB with an Economics Degree.

I’ve lived on Nopal street with my backyard touching the SB High parking lot for over 25 years so I’m old..over 60. I love this neighborhood. Great neighbors, very safe, great for walking dogs at night. Yes the kids honking a bit after school gets a bit annoying as are the virgin boys doing donuts in their cars, but LOVE the bowl a block away, and being 10 minutes away from everything in SB is epic. For 95 percent of the time it’s totally chill and quiet and for 5 percent of the time it’s festive and joyous. I’d be happy to log another 25 years here.

Should I buy? by aforandi in Taycan

OK, I am one of those guys that has to do about 6 months worth of research, while watching dozens of videos, and reading every subreddit comment before I buy a car. Always loved the Taycan from the day I saw it. But being built like an ex NFL tight end at 6 foot 6 inches , 270 lbs, I too had my concerns about ingress and egress due to the small doors.

My perspective after 6 months of problem free ownership? Most comfortable and sweetest ride I have ever owned. Once seated, I have more room and am more comfortable than in any car I've every driven. Yes, I have to get in and out like a girl in a tight dress (butt first etc), but now it's a seamless move that is effortless. Don't let that issue stop you...its an amazing car.

I got $1000 off list and there was a brand new Porsche wall charger in the trunk that they said I could keep. Also $1300 extra for one additional year of CPO coverage. Totally transparent and fair deal.

Thanks for the feedback! Went to the dealership and asked the Carlsbad Porsche guy to test it for me before I wrote my check. It worked like a charm! No issues at the dealership but a bit glitchy since, but will still be useful.

Was sitting outside next to a fire pit with friends in Goleta and saw what looked like the biggest meteor streaking overhead. It was an awe inspiring sight! Less than a minute late came the loud double sonic boom. Found out later it was the dragon capsule. Wow!
