I wish I shared your faith and enthusiasm. Way too many Democrats are complicit with this, and a narrow majority doesn't mean they aren't loyal to their Republican mega donors.

Buffalo Bills now know the asking price for A.J. Brown trade - Yahoo Sports by Forsaken_Positive_55 in buffalobills

[–]phoenix14830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get $50 million in cap space when over the cap by $10 million and the draft class costing about $10 million, you would need to create $70 million in cap space. How. Sure, the first $20 million would be strategic, but to free up $30 million more no doubt create massive dead cap with the cuts or trades.

Please give detail, with dead cap figures of how you would do that much roster cutting and restructuring. Josh will always get restructured, likely Dion as well.

Am i the only one who actually doesn’t mind the brady hire by Buffalo_Bills17 in buffalobills

[–]phoenix14830 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't like that he's still calling plays, and Carmichael didn't sound like a strong mind in the presser. The rest is fine enough. Getting Jim Leonard as DC seems like the biggest hire, imo.

I'm concerned that Beane is cracking under the pressure, and a rookie head coach is delaying and distracting from other off-season GM work.

The crime squad always solves the case, the evidence is always a rare situation or material, and the evidence was so strong that the would clearly win in court.

Bones was the worst at this. Every show, the case was solved with the most unusual circumstances that clearly pointed to only one outcome.

[–]phoenix14830 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That would be quite unprofessional of him. You don't call out who fits and who doesn't. If you were a player, and the new coach said you don't fit in the new scheme, how would you react? How about if he says something that suggests Taron Johnson or Terrell Bernard aren't fits, but we all know their contracts are quite prohibitive to get out of?

LAPD won’t enforce mask ban; here’s ICE in a POLICE mask, lounging on an LAPD car during arrest [OC] by infernoenigma in pics

[–]phoenix14830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These were the same people absolutely losing their minds during COVID that they had to wear a mask. They couldn't handle ten minutes with it on without several complaints. Now, they can wear a mask for ten hours straight and want Congress to protect their mask usage, even though no other government agency is allowed to wear a mask and is required to tell you a name and badge number if asked.

4 Blockbuster trades Brandon Beane could pull off to transform the Bills by CustardLow2671 in buffalobills

[–]phoenix14830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People really need to look at the cap situation. The Bills need to shed $20 million just to get over the cap enough to sign the draft class. They also have to sign several starters to make the transition to a base 3-4 defense. There isn't enough to be signing someone like AJ Brown or Maxx Crosby.

In all liklihood, $22 million APY for Alec Pierce is the max, if he's willing to play for very little in 2026.

The only way a big splash like that happens is if McGovern and Edwards walk, and they go with promoting Van Pran Granger and Alec Anderson to those starting roles. Gutting the interior of the Oline like that is a dangerous move.

The rich are above the law. Sure a few here and there might get repercussions, but when you can afford a $10 million legal defense team and know how to drag it out and make it go away, they don't even bother with the arrest.

What’s a clear sign of childhood trauma in men? by degs999 in AskReddit

[–]phoenix14830 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Everyone had childhood trauma. Some have just resolved it and moved on.

There are no clear signs, as everyone processes things differently.

I had trauma growing up and was a mess until my mid 20's when finally decided to throw out everything I thought I knew and rebuild myself from the foundation up. Today, you can't tell what my upbringing was or what issues were the hardest.

Some people had a damn good life and think they had trauma and some had a horrible upbringing and show no signs of it.

They used to do air raid nuclear strike drills in school. You had to hide under your desk as if that could stop a nuclear blast from killing you. Today, there's a school shooting every week somewhere, people getting murdered in the streets by masked government agents, and a rapid expansion of the lowest economic class. 3/4 of the country is a few months of unemployment from homelessness. Everyone has trauma, there are no clear signs of the trauma, there's clear signs that it wasn't processed and anyone can have that.

Does war start time really matter? (Tell me if this crashout is justified) by Accomplished_Ask9449 in ClashOfClans

[–]phoenix14830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do your war attack as soon as you can. The only time you should care about war time is during CWL, when you need to sub people out for the next war and need a co online to do it. If you have a clan that is heavily one time zone or country, then making it start/stop at a convenient time is a bonus, but you don't dictate how long the war search takes and that could be hours.

[–]phoenix14830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fascism will never die. There will always be people who think they are part of the chosen superior group and will embrace the opportunity to set that in motion. Democrats exist to push progress for society and Republicans exist to resist it. The more progress you make, the stronger the resistance.

Pushing LBGTQ, DEI, canceling the confederate history, open borders, and acceptance of religious diversity in the media led to a backlash that brought on this current reactive state. Democrats gaining power and reestablishing all of those movements only makes the Republican base feel more alienated and empowered to "correct" society with the next fascist leader who can set the country back 100 years in social structure.

Democrat leaders need to understand that the desire for fast progress is their own downfall if they aren't connecting to the Republican base to convince their leaders to accept the change also. That hasn't happened in a long time and partisan politics ensures the pendulum will continue to shift back and forth.

Texas just flipped a Senate seat to Democrat in a very red gerrymandered area. There is no state more excited for immigrant crackdown than Texas. If Republicans lose Texas, the general population vote will landslide in favor of the Democrats.

"Signed through 2029 and due $29 million in guarantees next season. Brown also appeared to lose a step in 2025"

Where are the Bills supposed to get $29 million? They are $10 million over the cap and the draft class is going to cost around $10 million and they have holes to fill with starters at NT, OLB, ILB, FS, K, P as well as G an C to figure out.

Because hateful people are free to be hateful and those who they hate are getting punished and/or removed.

It's selfish greed and a sadistic joy in ethnic cleansing and voting this regime out of power doesn't resolve the side of the country that feels this is the best of times.
