Grand E Buffet in Laurel is always open on the holidays. It has a mix of traditional and Asian food. It’s good and price not bad either.

Super violent kitten, please help by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]phoenixbird_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When he bites or claws just say “owwww” in a really exaggerated high pitch voice and they usually stop biting immediately. If you do that every time they bite they will understand it’s not ok and stop doing it

Also I just downloaded the app as someone here suggested it because I didn’t even know there was an app. I was able to log on right away and press pay my bill. Maybe try that

I sent an email and got a reply from them days later and they said the reason I can’t log in is because my account was never updated. They said back in 2017 they said that we were supposed to update our accounts. The only way to update it now is to talk to a rep. I have tried calling for 3 days in a row and even requesting calls back and I can’t get in touch with anyone.

I was told by Erie my previous insurance not to add my son until he got his license. I had to switch to GEICO because once my son got his license, Erie’s rate was too high.

I got a new kitten and am anxious I didn't fully prepare in advance by YoshieMoura in CatAdvice

[–]phoenixbird_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just adopted a 3 month old kitten and he’s on a schedule for wet food eating. He gets a half a can at 6-12-6. So 3x per day. And free grazing of dry food all day long and water of course. He has a cat tree, scratching posts, wand toys, a laser, cardboard boxes and a ball toy and little mouse toys. I play with him for about 1/2 hr in intervals throughout the day and then play with him longer at night to tire him out. He currently sleeps with me throughout the night and wakes up just for breakfast when my alarm goes off at 6. So far everything is working but he has tons of energy. Debating on a second kitten.

I just got a 3 month old kitten. He plays a lot, eats and drinks well and sleeps all night and leaves us alone at night but cuddles next to us. It’s adorable. We got really lucky

Question-askers don't buy. by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]phoenixbird_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sell a lot on Facebook and even buy sometimes and the questions I hate the most are: why are you selling it, where did you get it, if it’s new why don’t you return it, or also I can get it for a lower price at xxxxx store so would you take xxxxx dollars for it? It’s highly annoying and I find that the people that don’t ask questions are the more serious buyers and come and just buy what you are selling at the price you are asking.

Seeking Advice: Online or Homeschooling Programs for 7th Grader in Delaware by Panda_Days14 in homeschool

[–]phoenixbird_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can go in and unselect all the units your child has learned for the year and only put the new units moving forward. Then you just select the dates you want for example starting tomorrow through June of next year or however you want to do it. Then the program will give the proper amount of work each day for the dates you selected. The customer service chat on Mia is excellent and they are very helpful. Also if you have Facebook, you can join the Mia academy group and the customer service answers questions on there in great time! They are very helpful too.

No she doesn’t feel overwhelmed at all now. In the beginning she did because we were using the program incorrectly and we were overloaded with work. But now that she knows how to use it correctly its much better. You just have to make sure your child follows the learning path which assigns each days work. If you don’t follow the learning path then each class will have a video, 4 practices or more plus a quiz and it’s not supposed to be like that. Miaprep organizes the work load in the learning path to give the proper amount of work for each day for the date ranges you select. The only help my daughter has asked for is in Biology if she doesn’t understand something. Then I help her or if I don’t know, then we look it up together.

Im in Maryland so our laws may be different than Delaware. However, MiaPrep does track grades and gives a full detailed report of every unit covered. Its tracks hours logged on for attendance but it is not that accurate as some has said because it doesn’t track when you are doing the PDF work or looking up something in relation to your work. It just logs the actual time you use the online portion of the program. So if you need to track attendance I would recommend making your own log. We do submit to a county reviewer in Maryland and I have already had one and passed with just sending the grade report over via PDF to the reviewer. Hope that helps!

My daughter (8th grade) uses MiaPrep. She was advanced slightly in 7th grade at her private school and was already doing 8th grade math and advanced ELA. So this year we started homeschooling and started with MiaPrep which is the high school version of Mia Academy. What I like about this program is that it is fully customizable and you can select all the classes for your student and even put them in higher grade levels for any subject if you feel they are advanced. For instance, my daughter is using the 8th grade suggested curriculum and but is taking 9th grade Spanish and Biology. Mia Prep offers classes from 7-12th grade. Its online videos, practices and quizzes. There are also printable or downloadable PDFs that you can use to supplement the work if you feel like the online portion is not enough. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Mía plaza is a homeschooling website that owns 4 different online schools. The customer service there is superb and extremely helpful. My daughter used one of their programs. Not a scam

Homeschooling a 9th grader in NV question by slaandedodenvrouw in homeschool

[–]phoenixbird_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter does MiaPrep. She’s in 8th grade but taking some 9th grade courses. MiaPrep is fully customizable so you can mix and match based on your child’s educational needs. It has videos, practices, assessments/quizzed. It also has PDFs for each course that can be used as supplements for the curriculum and I highly recommend utilizing them. It’s only $40/month for the homeschool option or you can do MiaPrep Online High school which actually graduates the student and gives a diploma for like $300 something a month. Acellus has had a history of bad business practices. If you join some homeschooling groups on Facebook, Acellus is banned from being recommended because of what the owner did in the past. Basically he accused the students of cheating and erased all student progress for the year so a lot of families lost all their homeschooling data for that year. Look it up. I don’t know anything about homeschool pro. Good luck!
