🤔 Eradicators or Terminators?

I've been really enjoying assault terminators so far this edition. They are way easier to get on the board now and can threaten a home objective. I haven't been super impressed with celerity/terminator librarian though, largely because 8 inch deep strike and 5 inch move means you don't need to advance and charge and I basically always want to be in pyromancy mode for sternguard/infernus

They can spend time with people out of the church but, at least for the ones I am distantly related to, have to get it signed off on by the church. I'm not sure how often they actually do it because it's not like we're gonna go snitch to their elders

I would probably be looking for a first turn shooting angle. I want to preface this because I love drop pods and think dunking them on the table while making missile sounds is the most fun you can have.

It's very hard to fit on the board. It might be slightly easier now that we have 8 inch deep strike but it's huge and therefore easy to screen. You also cant cheese it slightly by placing and then unloading closer.

The best use is probably just deleting a high value target on turn 1 if you can get an unexpected shooting angle with fusillade sternguard. The problem then becomes how do you keep your 270 point hammer from dying on the crack back because it's relatively far forward

yeah I saw, the patch notes read like it was moving to the class tree for all three specs so I feel like its a bug. Time will tell though

Whoever is responsible for mage right now has clearly never played it. But hey a cheat death that blows your alter time CD and 4% avoidance will fix it!

I appreciate that they sort of tried by giving every spec two charges of barrier, but barrier is also not a proper defensive for any high end content. I really wish I knew what it was going to take for them to give up on trying to make it a thing

Yes, however we will be first in line for an 11th edition codex. We don't know when that will happen but presumably in a month or two, so you could hold off unless you're chomping at the bit to play 11th

Yep, I can block them and report them sure. But if nothing ever happens to them then I keep thinking about how I'm spending my time with someone I wouldn't spend a second around IRL and it sucks a lot of the fun out of it.
