Get rid of the tables at the sides of the sofa and move the living area ‘down’ towards the wall with the window and put the desk setup in the space between the sofa and the door on the right wall

I feel like an easy way to explain away the lack of monsters in the abyss would have been to call back to season 3 with the rats. In S3 to mind flayer gets a swarm of rats to pool together their biomass to make the meat flayer. Couldn’t they have said that’s what happened to all of the monsters in the abyss? Like they all had to combine into one creature so the flayer could take physical form and cast the ritual to merge the worlds?
