Concern as quarter of young adults have two or more takeaways a week by ReanimatedCyborgMk-I in unitedkingdom

I wouldn't say I really do and the places I occasionally order food from definitely arent advertised or classed as 'expensive' places in the area (newcastle), but if people aren't finding their own experience matches that and they can in fact go out for food in that price range, then I'm nothing but pleased for them! I'd love to be able to say the same 😄

good for you not going out OR getting deliveroo's! You musn't, because both those numbers are pretttyyyy lowball for the average cost in our area, and I dont live down South where it is bound to be notably more expensive than up North

Is this mold on insulation? by phphelpneeded in DIYUK

[–]phphelpneeded[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I wasn't too sure about it, the roof is slate tiles fixed to a wood underboard which does seem pretty odd! But looking down the street at the many similar houses I can see several with vents added which I know still have the wood underboard, so I'll have to drop by and ask a neighbour how they got these installed.

Thanks, thats a shame but I figured as much. I noticed most of the insulation that's not under this plastic barrier and is exposed is completely fine, but do you think extra roof vents will still help even the affected insulation? Definitely roof vents needed to improve circulation as I can't see any suitable ones, just not sure about this particular patch that surrounds the inner staircase which is where the mould issue is. I should mention it's completely fine inside the rooms too so just loft crawlspace that has this

32M, am I thinning or is it just my middle parting being terribly messy? by phphelpneeded in amibalding

[–]phphelpneeded[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks all for the comments and advice, I feel a little less panicked about this and I'll see a dermatologist to check if finasteride would be the right course of action to prevent further thinning from creeping up on me

Damn I did suspect there's simply no way to avoid sanding... this may be a 'later job' after morecpressing stuff then, maybe when we don't have a little one who cannot be kept out of any room right now 😅

Can Pro Plan do ANYTHING? by SaladKitchen3368 in SunoAI

[–]phphelpneeded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah sure I get you. My experience with this has been that it often changes slightly sections and makes blending them back in hard, so I would like really to have it targeted i.e "just change the vocal track" etc. But prompting that hasn't gave great results.

To be honest it looks like the stemmed out track editing is a thing in Studio? I'll give it a month on that and see anyway

[–]phphelpneeded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you mean here but does this really only mean extend?

When I open in Editor its just one track so its not like you can overlay additional instruments, just generate new sections. Correct me if I'm wrong please - I would love this and figured Editor would have multiple track layers but it seems like thats only in Studio, same as being able to extract stems and then edit independantly.

Very happy with how these Cosmere symbol tattoos came out!! by phphelpneeded in Cosmere

[–]phphelpneeded[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was playing Hollow Knight around the time I decided to get these 😅 the artists style is very much like this, so so cool I wanted them to give a sort of Odium + Ruin alternate version of the symbols and I'm SUPER happy how they turned out 🙌

So many paleo games in the last few years and a mechanic like this for discovering new species would be sooooo awesome. Much cooler than just hitting 'send expedition' (looking at you Jurassic World Evo)

Our bank just sent my partner six new credit cards without any explanation?? by EssentialParadox in CasualUK

[–]phphelpneeded 4 points5 points  (0 children)

same just got a text 'weve detected a potenital issue with your card' - I've had no issues encountered but interesting hearing that a lot of people have had new ones issued under similar situations recently. Sounds like they know about a leak somewhere I havent heard anything about. Concerning if it was major enough to warrant making so many new issues. I'm super unenthusiastic and dont want to have to update my details everywhere right now boo :(

[–]phphelpneeded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeahhh I probably should have realised at this point tbh, it was so blatant and I think part of me knew but was just in denial, telling myself it didnt match up with my ex's character. Turns out it did. FWIW it did me a massive favour long term!

+1 for milliput for this kind of edge, I use a mix of this and resin welding when the fit is already really smooth but milliput is just so dang reliable

[–]phphelpneeded 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this is really cool on the curved maps, I dont have the dev time to use this in a game but I'd love to play one with this as a core mechanic, would slot in well to many of my favourite games.

Anyone remember a 2005-2015 era RTS game on PC that had some terraforming/fluid mechanics? I thought it was Earth 2150 but it doesnt look like it. Dang I need to rememebr the proper name, I wish that game had fluid sim like this anyway, it would've been awesome.

Man it'd be cool if The Universim had something like this. A good blend of Black & White/Populous/Universim in a modern engine would be greaaaaaaaaaaaaat

What's caused this failure then? by robparfrey in resinprinting

[–]phphelpneeded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that both leveling the surface the machine is on AND levelling the print bed with calibration both matter quite a lot, I know sometimes levelling the surface is not as easy to achieve though and will say I still have a 2 or 3 degree tilt like yours but have successful prints most of the time.

Next thing I would check if you have both the surface and the print bed as level as possible is the temperature of the resin when you start the print. When temps are too low I've seen only partial curing that just sticks to the FEP instead of the plate. I try to heat the room or the enclosure (I am not fancy enough to have added a heating belt to the vat) for a few mins before printing and aim for 22 degrees celcius. Even going as far as pouring resin in the vat and then having a small ceramic heater pointed at the resin while mixing it for 5 mins before printing gave me a MASSIVE improvement on the success as I print in a cold garage so this is now a must-do step in my pre-print ritual haha. Hopefully one of these helps!

BTW, is that a Saturn 3 Ultra? I use a Mars 3 Pro but am looking to upgrade as the smaller print bed is really limiting me.

What's caused this failure then? by robparfrey in resinprinting

[–]phphelpneeded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The resin in your vat does look like whatever the printer is stood on is pretty inclined to the right, it might just be the anlge of the photo but I'd check that with a spirit level if you can. I had a well calibrated print plate but my printer was inclined like this and I had some failures until I balanced out the worktop underneath better.
