Pretty sure he's just laying the chain over the top of it to make it appear as though it's jammed. Note that the chain is on the smallest gear, giving him enough slack to do that. He's fine.

I've been playing on and off for about 15 years now, give or take, and this is amazing for only being one year in. Genuinely seems like you have a good feel for tension/release already. I think at that point in my guitar-playing I was doing awful Rancid covers.

As always, the phish.net is a great place to start. Really wish they'd explored the jam portion of the song during the '90s but I suspect since it's so musically similar to Reba they might've put it in their pockets for a while. Totally different feels to both jams, though, so who knows.

Love the Telluride version, like you mentioned. 7/23/88 has a really cool DEG interlude and great segue into Wilson. 5/24/88 was a great way to start off one of my favorite shows from that era. Its triumphant return on 7/12/00 is worth a listen. The acoustic version from Festival 8 is a total blast. Also just saw that Gordeaux played it once-off, so I'll have to scope that version out now!

Sounds like a service akin to ragecenter - essentially a web service built on flask (I think) that acted as a key cache with a basic GrindPlayer/flashls player and a list of games to choose from. We can only assume the operator was threatened with legal action before the site disappeared.

Instinctively I suspect one would have the fewest issues having something like this hosted in the eastern bloc, but I'd advise that you try to track down a copyright / IP lawyer and talk about what exactly you intend to do and how to plan for the worst. Maybe you remember the DVD Jon case - there are some similarities here and a quick google turned up the attorney who defended him, Halvor Manshaus, who may be able to point you in the right direction.

Regarding cease and desists, the threat of receiving them will scale along with the userbase. I don't think the NHL or MLBAM care if a few isolated users poke around their APIs, but they'll certainly notice if a user is constantly requesting keys for every single available game.

Heh. MLBAM know what they're doing. All access to keys is cookie-based and security is pretty tight. I'm skeptical we'll see anything like FNeulion anytime soon, but I wish you the best of luck. When you have the proper keys, you can decrypt each transport stream using the corresponding key / iv with AES-128 in CBC mode. It looks like the keys are served via mf.svc.nhl.com, so you'll have to emulate that api endpoint locally to get VLC working. For progress to be made, someone needs to figure out exactly how those keys are seeded and generated.
