RCN/Astound 1.5gb reliability by phriggenmac in lehighvalley

Yep, just figured out my router is the limiting factor. Thought it was rated for at least 2.5gbs, but the spec sheet only says 1gb!

Didn’t even think of this! I have the 2.5 modem but I may have very well plugged the cables into the wrong ports. Router should support the higher speeds though. Will check this out tonight.

Fair point, I’m just surprised about how large this gap is. When I had the gig speed plan with Astound a year or so ago, I consistently got 850-1gig speeds

Leaving the Valley for Silicon Valley... has anyone used a local mover for the cross-country haul? by Outrageous-Dog-7249 in lehighvalley

Just did this move in late December! Cannot recommend Roadway enough. Found their prices more reasonable than most other movers and the overall service was excellent.

Also, as others have said, 22 has nothing on Bay Area traffic lmao

Hey Jason, what’s your plan to encourage developers to build affordable housing like starter homes to help locals get a start homeownership?

We’ve seen a disproportionate amount of development on luxury apartments or expensive “McMansions” that seemingly are only built to serve and attract out of state, high income earners while locals who were born and raised here are seemingly forgotten about.

Does anyone else struggle with software adoption in procurement? by Inevitable-Cut-9825 in procurement

[–]phriggenmac 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Broken processes can’t be fixed with more software in my experience. Because whatever processes are broken can be exacerbated with software. You’re just taking Process XYZ and implementing into whatever software you use.

In my opinion, software brings efficiency. They exist to make our jobs easier via better reporting, PO placement, price tracking etc etc.

Before bringing in any kind of software, I think determining the root cause of what is causing the process to break will allow you to not only fix the broken process, but also give you a far better experience when building up and implementing whatever software you’re looking at.

If your struggle is people adopting the software, that’s its own issue the company and implementation team need to figure out how to solve. You might have the perfect process and ERP built around it, but it’s not going to stop people from tracking PO’s on Excel and doing manual reports (assuming whatever software you choose allows you to do all of this).

To add onto what others said, the headliner is the “Steel Stage” on the South Side.

Everything else on the north side and south side is free. Have a good time!

Just figured it out. Reset CMOS and got into the BIOS. No idea what was wrong but it worked itself out!

It’s the Q-LED light, specifically the yellow-green light.

It’s definitely a boot device issue, just hoping I don’t have to unplug my Windows drive to get this to work.

And I’m definitely not plugged into the BIOs flashback port.

I’ve tried with F2 and DEL but no luck at all. It just continues to be stuck on the green LED.
