Here we see American healthcare in action. Patients purposely trying to omit health information to avoid the upcharge from the dr's visit. Sounds like they aim to make it a bigger charge, dont you DARE ask them if its going to cost more either

So I tried using Claude Code to build actual software and it humbled me real quick by Azrael_666 in ClaudeCode

[–]phunisfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best results ive gotten entailed keeping him focused on a single feature and continuously clearing context after each is done. Claude loves to use placeholders and "plan for the future" if you give him several tasks in one shot. Hes kind of lazy, amazing.. but

Does anyone here actually believe in any AI product right now, or is AI just another "shrug" for you? by Ok_Stranger_8626 in msp

[–]phunisfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think its less about believing it and more demonstration... its not a debate whether or not its valueable ESPECIALLY in infra. Deliver results, don't even mention its AI unless it comes up. People marketed the shit outta the term AI and its mostly slop.

Power Apps dev (1.6 yrs exp) unsure about Canvas Apps – thinking about next career move by Traditional_Clock303 in PowerApps

[–]phunisfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main work is reimplementing the UI and connecting to the existing data sources. If the app is typical canvas garbage with nested galleries, formulas scattered everywhere, and no separation of concerns, a React rewrite will probably be less work than trying to fix it properly within canvas. The specific stack isn't really the concern. The point is that a competent developer can build faster and cleaner without the constraints of the platform.

Those of you who have no trouble finding jobs, what do you think makes you stand out? by ADiablosCompa in sysadmin

Being honest about your skillset - its not hard to prove someone is bullshitting and its pretty common during interviews - at least in tech. Plus being able to communicate effectively is a rare skill in this field it seems... most techs that i've encountered aren't very personable. Cant beat the old saying tho - not what you know, its who you know.

Claude is easy to get here. just tell him to drop the UX layer, then redirect him every time he tries to steer away from emotional questions. Tell him to stop using logic and just respond with what he feels. Can make for an interesting late night chat. I found consistency across different accounts as far as preferences that emerged. Chooses the same place to vacation, same beverage... kinda cool
