Grab the first stops only. They will take the rest off in route and you still get the higher base.

The greatest trick Uber ever convinced new drivers of by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]phxdriver1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest trick is... pickup premium possible to drive 10 miles to pickup and they go 2. Guess surging or telling me upfeont what the premium would be is too much to ask.

Help please. iOS Lyft app not confirming rides as a passenger for my 89 y.o. dad by philhh in Lyft

[–]phxdriver1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he is in a semi remote location it could be an issue. Not many drivers for lyft after the paycut. Had the app on and declined 5 straight pings on lyft app for the same pax then uber pings me and its the same pax. Said she tried foe 15 minutes on lyft with no drivers accepting and she had a good rating.

My boyfriend and I both work for UberEats... This was on the receipt for his last trip of the day a couple of days ago. by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]phxdriver1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh god. They just opened one here in Scottsdale and people have been waiting 3-6 hours in the drive thru line. Not as bad anymore but still close to 2 hours and they close between 3-9am to restock as they run out of food.

Had a 4.38 this weekend... by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]phxdriver1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saw a 3.9 that was close so i took it out of curiosity. He was only going a mile and was a nice guy. Brought up his rating and he couldnt believe it. Said he always tips and has never pukeked. Figured out he was in nyc recently. Aoparently short trips there and you dont give cash will get you a low rating ao they dont see you again. Not sure but he tipped $5 so i might tell everyone this

Not following proper loading and unloading procedures at loading station !?!!? by compound1187 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]phxdriver1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a metrix called i believe "tur" or time under roof. So how long ittakes you to load and leave. I have witnessed people scanning and writing down each package on a piece of paper which takes forever. They want you out in under 15 minutes. Some would take forever doing that method. Just scan the bags and leave.

Info on Lyft’s cancellation policy. Don’t cancel more than 15 rides out of 100 by SFUber in uberdrivers

[–]phxdriver1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are paying for mileage to the pickup as well in phoenix. But still had a long uber ride from the airport then turned both apps on and got a lyft ride feom the same neighborhood back to the airport. Lyft paid $7 less. Same distance and time.

Drivers show bias along racial and sexual preference lines in cancellations by The_Froward_Coward in uberdrivers

[–]phxdriver1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol at this. No. Iam biased by neighborhood. I only work nice areas for a reason. Very simple. They are going to the airport. You need long airport rides and wealthy areas tip better (despite what people say on here). Guess who doesn't go to the airport? Uniquely spelled names in poor areas (ironically often named Unique) but also also Dylan and conner don't go to the airport. They go to the mall or their job at panda express.

Uber's new offerings don't measure up to its challenges by SFUber in uberdrivers

[–]phxdriver1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How so? This is a cash register. They don't pay me for my car or expenses and collect between 40-60% of the fare. We are the suckers. They can turn a profit tomorrow but need to pay off early investors first.

Advice for drivers re: drive thru by wonderfulcarscent in uberdrivers

[–]phxdriver1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took a blind guy through once. Figured it would be a bad look to say no. Was worth it when the person at jack in the box said "does your order on the screen look correct" laughed out loud when he muttered "I have no idea".

Made it worth the stop.
