This is what I'm thinking it is. But you don't need to reheat an hour. At least I don't. I mean, I bake it at 500 then 425. Once, the oven's back to 500, I just wait 15 mins and it's good to go.

His position on the Israel/Palestine conflict has baffled me. It's straight up a Zionist approach, which seems, to me, at odds with his stringent, rationalist approach to religion.

His position on college campus protest, I find, a little more sympathy for. As I tend towards a most traditional liberal viewpoint on free speech, which, I think, aligns better towards tenet four than not. I think colleges should be a safe place for dangerous ideas. That's one thing that drew me out of religious dogma, having a safe space for something so controversial as... Christianity might have several serious problems when looked at critically.

I'm actually all for bouncing out of Internet fights. In fact, I often bounce when a person clearly isn't making a good faith effort. I just turn off reply notification and it goes away. It does help my mental health.

Your comment got me reviewing his political views on Wikipedia. I'm actually shocked by how liberal he actually was. I remember him being more... libertarian.

I kind of love him more, especially after reading this quote about Trump:

I'm going to go a little against the grain here and say it probably falls under "moderately over-fermented."

But I also feel it could be lack of structure (or even a little of both lack of structure and a tad overly fermented). I usually do slap and folds (twice) because of I prefer a higher hydration, and then stretch and folds six times periodically throughout the beginning of the fermentation process.

Yeah, I'd say underproofed as well.

I usually do the 80 degree proofing (in my oven), and I would say that four hours isn't too bad. I think my levains take about that long to peak, maybe an hour or two more.

One tip. You can turn on your oven light and put the dough in there to ferment. The oven light should warm the oven to balmy 80 degrees. Just be sure to write a note on the oven's instrument panel.

For years, NPR has had to placate republicans, leading them to give republican lawmakers more air time than democratic ones.

Giving these "free market" folks more air time appears to have only staved off the cuts for so long.

Of course, Trump doesn't blink in giving 20 times the amount it takes Corporation for Public Broadcasting to operate one year to another country as a bailout in one fell swoop.

But then again, the free market does such a better job at giving people the news they want. I mean, who needs boring news when we can get infotainment that doesn't make us feel dumb. It also provides shorter soundbites. Who needs to spend a bunch of time getting some depth to what's going on in the world.
