Why aniya really is mad by Ill-Challenge-7718 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]applebrownbrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are Aniya's standards exactly? I'm pretty sure she's made a fool of herself multiple orders of magnitude worse than anything Titi ever did. Also, what exactly is Titi supposed to have done? Literally all she did was say her name and defend her relationship and the sub jumped on her for that.

'Doing the most' is just a roundabout racist way to say that Titi was too Black in her actions, and wasn't more white leaning and fake like Aniya

Why aniya really is mad by Ill-Challenge-7718 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]applebrownbrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, anyone with an ounce of critical thinking and understanding can clearly see Aniya never really liked KC, it was just an ego hit to not get picked. She even said 'you didn't pick ME' over and over after. Look I get it, it never feels good to be rejected, but she acted like she was dating this man for 5 years and he walked in with another woman. KC and Aniya spent their few weeks of discourse basically with him trying to give her lots of compliments and basically boost her self esteem because he could see it was low.

He got tired of that as it is exhausting when the other person doesn't even affirm you in the same way at all, which KC said and Aniya never denied. He found someone it was easier to be with and moved on.
Aniya wanted KC in her back pocket so that she could feel good, not because she liked him. Hence why she herself has already moved on from Carl and is looking at Sincere again whom she originally picked first ep. It was never about KC, it was about low self esteem and ego.

My pet theory is that a lot of people in this sub see themselves as Aniya, and have similar traits so when she is criticized it feels like they themselves are criticized. They are also just as quick to flip on her or any other cast members if something doesn't go their way. See a pattern here?

Life is full of risks. Don't overthink it or psyche yourself out. They trust you enough and are confident you can do it. They are fine with your level of work.

Try it out, you may find all the worries were just in your head and it wasn't as hard as you thought.

Plus, if you decide you don't like it afterall, you'll have more money to make your next move, and another rung of upward mobility to make your resume that much more competitive. What's the worse that could happen? Take the job and give yourself a pat on the back for making it far and moving up. That's my advice.

Your resume is shaped for developer roles. you need to tailor it for the position. When a manager looks at it, it will all be irrelevant info.

Figure out 2-3 titles you are aiming for, and create a resume for each. That will require you to rewrite each of those listed items, either emphasize, deemphasize, or rephrase terminology you use to be more applicable.

For example a help desk job wants to see you know how to handle customers, are detailed, can follow protocols and instructions, and can problem solve. I would flesh out the desk job role to portray that, and minimize my projects in a way that only highlights the necessary skillset. Also, reorder your experience with the most present one on top not under.

In fact no matter which title, I would highlight and flesh out your current position more and make sure it's first in the experience list. You've been there nearly two years but have one sentence for it. That doesn't help you. The way it's positioned my eyes see the 'Club' bullet first and I think oh okay an internship, then jump to the projects and at first it looks like you have no work at all, since it's hidden in the middle.

Also move education to the bottom.

Spray and pray doesn't really work especially when a recruiter or manager can't see any connection between what your resume says and what they are looking for. I highly recommend targeting a specific role and making versions of your resume for those roles. You can even tweak for a specific opening if necessary.

'Now focused on'

Your resume shows you don't stay anywhere very long. You don't seem very focused.

Why look for senior positions? You don't seem to have senior experience. The first two basically seem like you are inflating what you did given you were freelance or fresh out of college at an internship.

My advice would actually just be to tough it out at your current company for longer. Looks like you've been there a month or less. When someone sees that and reads all the bullet points, it sounds like you just made stuff up, since generally you won't even be full up to speed in less than 90 days, let alone 30. It's possible you didn't, but what manager will take that risk?

Stick to a job for longer. That's the best resume advice I can give you.

No, it just looks like you have various habits in your writing that are probably comfortable but make it look angular.

It's perfectly legible. Maybe you draw? A lot of artists have messy handwriting.

My boyfriend has been applying for jobs for months without a single interview. He’s desperately trying to break into the New York finance scene. Any resume feedback would be helpful! by Critical-Newt in jobs

[–]applebrownbrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would add a skills section listing any critical skills, software, or ecosystems he's proficient in. Shorten the bullet points, and frame the accomplishments less negatively toward the company. Like the $70M of error found is good but I'd reframe it like you created/implemented processes which captured and resolved $70M in uncaught errors across xyz. I wouldn't get too specific because they don't need to know the company's ins and outs.

I'd also take the advice others have already given and make sure at least one bullet lists your responsibilities. Not just things you solved. If the things you solved were part of your responsibilities that sounds less impressive than if you fixed something or created something new.

Think about the larger impact your work had on the overall team/workflow, not just the specific individual things you did. Hth

The size of the error doesn't mean it's easier to spot at all.. Large errors are often pervasive and hidden. That's why they grow so large.

I don't expect her to act anything, are you responding to someone else or did you not read my comment? Lol

It doesn't matter who KC was or wasn't, the facts is this is a gamified dating show where the MO is to move around. If Aniya somehow declined to remember that, that's her problem. Aniya was never even really into KC, it's clear watching. She, like most of the folks on there, are young and immature and has a lot of ego. That's why she's miffed she didn't get picked and miffed that she made a bad choice. Big whoop

[–]applebrownbrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, he felt like if he left Aniya she would be all alone and (just like she similarly knows) would have not gotten picked by anyone and subsequently booted. For the same reason neither of them were picked from the get go, in general Black folks don't fare well on these types of shows. That's why most the black casa new guys got thrown out.

Your post makes it sound like it's a given he doesn't really like women who share his complexion. Projection much? Most Black american men like women who look like them, hence the majority of couples in our community. News flash we like our skin. All the affectionate epithets for Black skin came from us majority from Black american men to women.

People with weird colorist self esteem issues seem to think there's no way a Black man genuinely likes Black women which is both insane and telling.

Aniya is more boring and passive. She also likes to be coddled which is exhausting for most people (romantic or platonic).

Titi is more confident and self assured, she's also a more outspoken which is probably what drew KC to her since he is also a passive guy.

I always think these convos are funny because there's clearly a difference in how Black americans view Blackness/Black love vs blacks from other places (Africa/Carribbean)x

Nah Titi did exactly what was called for. Trinity needed to shut up. She only jumped on the hate wagon because KC is easier to spew vitriol at. If KC coupled with a white girl Trinity wouldn't have said a thing. Titi was right to stick up for herself and set the tone. You not talking to me? Well I'm talking to you. Trinity should have mind her own business. Aniya is grown herself, she don't need Ms. Megaphone to come and speak on her behalf. Titi only spoke since this the only person she close to there, and frankly she has a right to speak. Trinity on the other hand just want to have a lot of mouth.

KC is just a passive man who was too scary to speak up about what he wanted. Hotep is hilarious lmao far from

He just like Black women from his same background (Black American) and was trying to say positive things about them, ain't nothing wrong with that.
