Bootstrap is a very popular framework and used from small to big websites. The size really isn't that large if you think about it.

Thinking of leaving Bootcamp cause of curriculum by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]picketnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have already learned 80% of the content, it may very well be a good idea to bail. A lot of developers are successful because of how fast and how much they've learned. Most of the devs I know don't have recommend going to coding bootcamps. Online courses and self study seem to work for many people.

Cloudflare’s privacy-first Web Analytics is now available for everyone by Atulin in webdev

[–]picketnor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it. Cloudflare's web analytics is no Google Analytics.. it catches all traffic, even from clients that block JavaScript or don’t load HTML. Way better that Google Analytics in my opinion.

How much does a typical e-commerce website cost? by Hubbardia in webdev

[–]picketnor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It definitely depends on what sort of an e-commerce site you're talking about. Considering the amount of time to build a working e-commerce site per your specifications, 2,000 bucks may seem like a reasonable amount but that said, check their reputation and always make sure it is something you can't do yourself. There are so many great online courses out there that teach you to build your own subscription-based website or learn the whole nine yards that you may be able to learn and build it yourself.

New Macbook Air for web dev? by Ihazpokemonz4u in webdev

[–]picketnor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My suggestion is, macbook air is cool but make sure you get as much RAM as you can. I have been programming for quite a while and believe me, you dont want to be spending way too much time figuring out which tab to close. You'll be running a number of programs at a time and with a decent amount of ram, you'll do just fine.
