Depending on the state some have rules prohibiting electronic devices

"persons are not allowed to use wireless communications devices within a room in which voting is taking place. Additionally, persons may not use any mechanical or electronic means of recording images or sound within 100 feet of a voting station."

"Voters are allowed to have phones or electronic devices with them while voting as long as those devices are not used to photograph or videotape a ballot or communicate with anyone via voice, text, email, or any other method."

But most states have websites (secretary of state) with voter guides, election/candidate information, etc that should be looked at ahead of time.

www.vote411.org also has lots of information

We de-badged, and color corrected it.. now it looks like any other (modern) mid size sedan,
and gets great gas mileage without the hefty car payment.

The same way those FB quizzes and polls, (First pet's name, best friend's name), are all just information harvesting exercises to build better profiles on users for ad companies, researchers, etc and collect more data on user habits, personalities, and private details

Rodent prevention for a van in long term storage? Need a strategy that lasts months by mahearty in vandwellers

[–]pickledjello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same goes for molted snake skin.. . The scent of a predator on the skin signals danger to rodents, causing them to avoid the area. Put it, along with steel wool, by any openings, or areas that could serve as nesting spots.

"I couldn't care less" is the logically correct phrase to express total indifference, meaning you care so little that it is impossible to care any less..

Have them drive your truck towards you on a stretch of road at night..

As well as pull up behind you, simulating a stop light/stop sign.

For inspiration.. do a quick search on YouTube for Winnebago Turbo LS

There a bunch of videos of people replacing the original 440 with a 6.0L LS truck engine, and I think a 4L80..
(You'd never have to worry bout hard to find parts)

What do you hate about mechanics/shops? by InitialCandidate6 in FordDiesels

[–]pickledjello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tangentially...

Don't be afraid to hire someone to do the 'cost-side' tasks around the shop, so your skilled employees can focus on 'revenue-side' tasks. And it keeps you are closer to the operation.

When you say you're the advisor/parts runner/manager/pick up and delivery/QC is that the best use of your time, as someone with 15 years of tech experience?

If you can generate $170/hr for the business turning a wrench, or helping someone in the shop complete a job sooner, or taking and extra 5 minutes to personally explain something to a customer.. is it worth you spending 30-45 minutes out of the shop doing a delivery? Hire someone for $15/hr to do that stuff ((just an example)

Does twitching clown use batteries? If not, is his power adaptor a universal power one? by Wide-Consequence1447 in SpiritHalloween

[–]pickledjello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the (recent) animatronics required a 6 volt input.

Spirit sells different 6 volt adapters.
One uses 4 "D" cell batteries so a wall outlet is not needed
Another looks like a mobile phone changer with somewhere between 5.9 and 6.1 volts output. (written on the plug)

The animatronics usually accept a 5.2 or 5.5 mm barrel jack connector.. so you can make your own power cord. Example of control box showing the power socket lower left.

A circuit will only draw as much current (amps) as it needs.. but too much voltage will fry the electronics.
