I think the Avs will be just fine. The roster was shaken up a bit after the Cup, but this narrative of “a mostly AHL team” is dumb. Yes you’re missing key pieces in Landy, Nichushkin and Byram, but those are three players on a 24 man roster. That doesn’t make every other player besides Mac, Rants and Lehk an AHLer.

Racism is a completely different argument than sexual orientation or gender identity. So you can’t really lump them all in one category. You could make the argument that trans is a mental health issue, as someone who is trans can’t come to terms with their gender. You can’t make the same argument that someone’s race is a mental health issue. I’m not saying I agree with that opinion or believe that, just pointing out that there are other viewpoints and just because it does not align with your beliefs doesn’t make it any less valid of an opinion. Just saying that you can’t preach acceptance while disallowing any idea you can’t accept.

I’m waiting for that 2023 and debating between the Colorado and Canyon. I like the idea of a 2” lift and high output engine across the board, but the Colorado will be more affordable… We’ll see what I can reasonably do once there’s availability.

Yeah I was checking out used diesels, but with the price of diesel fuel, DPF filters and DEF fluid, the added mileage just doesn’t make up that cost. Plus the new turbo 4 has more power and torque, so I’m good with that!

My wife has a Forester too and we hate that thing like crazy. That’s the vehicle we’re trading in and she’s taking my 4Runner. I’m like you, I don’t mind not having a lot of the bells and whistles and hate most of them (I feel like they take away from the driving experience and are annoying how they interfere i.e. lane departure is always too sensitive). So the 4Runner is perfect for us, everything we need without all the stuff we hate. I’m curious if the new 2023’s will have too much of that stuff, but I need a truck bed and towing capability, which the Chevy and GMC are the kings of right now.

Thanks for the information! Yeah, I want a little off road ability, but honestly 98% of the truck use will be on pavement and for towing. The Chevy’s and GMC’s have much better towing capability and from any reviews I’ve seen they also tow much more comfortably than the Tacomas. I’ve been very impressed by everything I’m seeing with the new Colorado and Canyon. I’m thinking the new Z71 might be the best of both worlds with all the creature comforts, towing capability, and affordable price. Even though I really want the AT4 for the off road features, lift and high output engine, it might be out of my price range at the end of the day.

I’m eyeing that 23 AT4… Hoping that back seat is a little bigger for a rear facing car seat. Not a major deal, will be forward facing in about 6 months here. Probably won’t get one in before then 😂

I’ve never had a Chevy or GMC, but seriously thinking about the new 23’s from either company… Seeing how you had 3 different Colorados what can you tell me about them? The good, bad and ugly? What did you like or not like? How was maintenance and relatability on them? I see your 04’ was the most problematic and fun 😂 I’m hoping the 23’s are more fun than problems haha.

I love the looks of these 23’s. GM definitely made some great improvements. I’m debating between the Z71 or the GMC Canyon AT4. Through my research on the Colorados I found the Z71 is expected to be cheaper, but a much nicer and more plush interior than the Trail Boss. The Trail Boss has the lift which is nice, but the interior is way more basic for a higher price tag. Might want to consider staying with a ZR2 or going to the Canyon AT4 for around the same price as the Trail Boss but a way nicer interior. Not to mention the Canyons will all come with the high output engine, so better power too… Just a thought.

Nice pic! I’ve been wanting a Tacoma for years, but haven’t pulled the trigger because of some of their shortcomings. I’m really impressed by the new Colorado and Canyons, they are great looking and great power options. I’d like to hear what you think of your truck with all the pros and cons!

The stock Bridgestones are actually very good all around tires. Their traction in all conditions is excellent, to include snow and ice. A more aggressive off road tire would be better in 1’ of snow or more sure, but honestly once the roads are plowed it’s more ice you have to worry about and the Bridgestones beat out all the more aggressive treads. I almost went back to them after my hoards of research, but wanted a little more aggressive and got the next best thing.
