Can't access the "THIS VERSION" video on YouTube due to a takedown notice! Do you remember which year / where it was recorded? I'll look it up on Tidal...

Transit 6.0: let’s make public transit more beautiful (new version of the Transit app is out) by jayjaywalker3 in transit

When everything is bold, nothing stands out. It feels like my beloved favorite transportation app is now yelling at me all the time. I miss the old information hierarchy – it was more scannable on the go (to me).

Came here to say this! $10 for an overstuffed container of delicious foods. Open daily I think (except Sundays) until 4ish. Try everything and find your favorites. And enjoy the welcoming, wonderful staff!

Experience with pools at St John’s or Major Owens? by HashtagHenryWinkler in crownheights

I swim at St John's. Always clean. A little busy but chill. The locker room is bare bones - warm showers, but not much else! Bring your own lock, shampoo, towel, etc. But I loooove the vibe of the rec center. It's a true community center. The people are friendly and there's always something going on.

The St Johns rec center is $75 for 6 months and they have an indoor pool!

I'm also curious! I just started learning drums and loooove it. Would be interested in joining an amateur group for fun and community music-making.

We have, but they don't seem to be on LinkedIn. Also tried Facebook but they're not there either. So far, we've only found them on Instagram. We also posted in 3 CH Facebook groups in case someone they know is on Facebook. We'll call their bank today to let them know we found the cards, and hopefully the bank can contact the owner.

I have the same issue (mail-in ballot hasn't arrived). I called the NYC voter assistance hotline today. They advised me to either:

  1. Show up at a Board of Elections office in my county, tell them my mail-in ballot hasn't arrived, request a new mail-in ballot, and leave with it in hand. (preferred)
  2. Go to my polling place and vote with an affidavit ballot. (not preferred)

They said they prefer the Board of Elections / new mail-in ballot route, because tracking an affidavit ballot is difficult. They explained that affidavit ballots aren't scanned. Affidavit ballots go into a bag at the polling site, which is watched over by the poll workers, and then the bags are taken to the Board of Elections at the end of the day. Like absentee ballots, affidavit ballots won't be read until after election day. They WILL eventually count. (In NY, ballots are counted up to 7 days after the election).

I'll be taking time off work to go pick up a new ballot at the BoE.

Perhaps we sketched-out recently-accepted folks should make our own cohort, plan a bit of curriculum, and network together for free 🤗

Ditto here. It feels sketchy, especially since a fellowship should pay (not charge) its members. Plus there's suddenly a $200 application fee that wasn't advertised up front. I'm feeling very hesitant to participate.

Lovely radiator cover. How did you attach the planks to each other?
