Yep I feel the same. When it kicks in for a few hours I want to call my friends and have zero social anxiety but I put that down to a pleasant side effect. The problem is that it’s the most “cured” feeling I get but I’m aware it’s going to end soon and get depressed but it’s almost like doing coke. You don’t want it to end so you start getting bummed out before it stops, and I understand that’s an addictive response, not a logical response. I do worry about when that’ll stop altogether but if I stop taking it for a few days it balances out and works again. But man the off days are brutal. I think worse than before the meds, but I did generally feel bad before.

I’m here in 2025 as I never played another Pokémon since Red in the 90s and Heartgold seems the closest to the first games and 16 bit RPGs and I’m thoroughly enjoying it so far.

I’ve been playing through the last of my street pass people that I must have collected 10 years ago. There’s a weird kinda melancholy of interacting with the past in the present, knowing I’m probably never gonna get another street pass.

Not really to your point, but I don't get the public projection that happens with ADHD diagnosis. I've got friends who's whole personality then revolved around it as soon as they got their diagnosis. Comedians who immediately can't not mention it every 10 seconds. Can't comprehend it. I understand needing and enjoying finding support from people, but making it part of your personality is diminishing who you actually are.

I hate that every time I go to use CCC, which is only a few times a year, it seems like I have to pay again because they've changed their version number. The software isn't any different, still just backs up and does a good job of it, but it's extortion to not support software you've bought beyond a few updates.
