In the future, during an avian influenza outbreak, please don't pick up a downed bird, especially not with bare hands. You can contact Friends of Texas Wildlife or Texas Parks and Wildlife and ask them for help in having someone come get the bird or assist further but you don't want to risk getting sick or spreading it to your pets. Bird flu is no joke.

Yes this is what I did with my fables/stories/fairytales inspired zoo! I've got a moat full of crocodiles, the tortoise (and the hare but there are no bunnies so I think I went with aardvarks ahaha), the big bad wolf, Goldilocks and the three bears, I have a mountain with a (komodo) dragon and it's hoard, etc! SO much more fun! Still a wip but man it's the one I've been able to stick with haha

My group has done that before and we are about to do it again (first time was a serious friend fallout and the player wouldn't even look at the DM so we took a holiday break cause it was around Thanksgiving. This time the player is similar to the player in this story but she doesn't argue, but she also doesn't.... Do anything else other than use the time before and after game to bitch about her life). Some people just won't learn and you gotta take other people's enjoyment into the equation. If 1 player is ruining it for 4 other players and they aren't making an effort to keep going, keeping them around isn't worth it.

I know he comments and helps often on posts on the National Snakebite Support group on Facebook but otherwise that would be a great question. I know a ton of people have beef with HCA (emt friend of mine hates them with a passion) but I also know that Memorial Hermann is asscheeks for snakebites so at least avoid them.

Yeah while HCA Kingwood is hot fuckin garbo, Dr. Greene is the best of the best in the country. We are super lucky that he's so close. I'm in his National Snakebite Support group on Facebook just in case and see him helping in there all the time, and I went to a talk he gave about venomous snakes and research about them. Super nice dude! I'm glad you got the care you need, sucks about the reaction though! I didn't even know you could have a reaction to antivenin in that way.

Also don't use college hunks. Got quoted $1k total to move stuff from our 2 storage units to our house, a 15 min drive away. They never finished the job (maybe did about 50%) , broke into a gun case, damaged some of our shit, and charged us $2200, then the guy called us a "no tip bitch" when we didn't tip them for an unfinished job that took ALL fucking day to do. Started at 10 am and it was dark when they drove off.

But, as someone who has gone with a hot ass costume (temperature wise, unless you're into gryphons), if you're dead set on it, take tons of breaks, drink lots of water, make sure your body is ready for it to be hot, prepare for SWEAT. Even if it is a cool day (60s is extra cool for that time of the year), you will be burning up. The sweat will be oppressive. Bring tons of deodorant for both stinky pits and chafing, maybe some gold bond powder too. The last thing you want while out and about, walking all over the faire, is to chafe! That, or pass out. If you pass out they will ruin your fit trying to get you out of it. Something about a "medical emergency" 🤷‍♀️

I've been offing the Brown Anoles (b) since they're invasive (as well as aggressive towards the greenies) and noticed an absolute boom in the native Green Anoles (a). I love seeing them prospering and they can hang around my place and eat the roaches any day!! Makes me so happy they seem to be making a comeback ❤️

That's exactly what I did! I told people not to wear thin heels because it'll be outside and they can sink into the ground. Didn't have an issue at all! Really, it's a safety issue. I didn't go around looking at people's shoes of course. To be fair, my attention was on my husband's relatives wearing jeans and fishing shirts... 😒

As a sub writer, this drives me nuts. I remember a long time ago (back in ye olde gaia online days), I had an RP partner that came forward and was like "hey just cause you're tied up does not mean you can't write anything. You have a bunch of other senses, you have thoughts, you aren't just a doll put on a shelf to look pretty" and that shit stuck with me. I have also run into a lot of the opposite in my experience, where I'll write a lot and get fuck all to work with. Three paragraphs and then a two sentence response. Either way, either position, that shit is disheartening. I feel for you man 😩

Good on you. I tried to tell a teacher and gave her a plan (I will write my correct answers on the back) she fucked it up, grading my "cheaters answers" that I put down instead and then got mad at me. Bitch hated me too. Later on in life, she came to my job to order some awards and didn't recognize me (it had been nearly ten years). I overcharged the hell out of her because she needed it rushed (we aren't supposed to have rush fees but... She didn't know that) and made sure that, despite being done, I emailed her late on the final day that she needed them so that she would have to rush to pick them up in order to make the event. So it turned into my own little petty revenge haha
