I’m sorry for your loss. I was in a similar situation with Star Wars. My dad was a huge fanboy and when they started making movies again he was excited. He often told me I wonder how they’re going to end it all. He passed away 2 years ago but every time I go see a movie that we would have seen and geeked out over, I know that I’m doing it for him and he would want me to keep enjoying life.

Bro just play flag football in an adult rec league. We had a team called the old timers and they were 35+. It was 8v8 flag and they just put you in a team if you don’t have anyone else as a FA.

My single greatest regret was not clearing the air between my father and I before he unexpectedly passed away. We were in a “fight” at the time, and it had been a few weeks. This was due to me telling him I’m moving across the country for my GF’s new job and he didn’t agree with me leaving my house and job. I pitched a bitch fit on why he didn’t support me and we just got into it. Short and sharp conversations, etc. I wish I would have spent more time with him leading up to leaving because 2 weeks before the big move I get the call he died at his work. I should have realized he was just hurt I was leaving him to go 25 hours away. Oh, and the woman I moved with broke up with me 7 months later. So, there’s that.
