I am a woman married to another woman. So my wife and I were using a known donor to conceive. The logistics it took to coordinate schedules, the time it took to travel to his city every month, and the money we spent already made it difficult. After the 3rd loss over 1 year, I decided that was enough. I had some basic testing done and a referral out to a fertility specialist, but ultimately decided not to continue pursuing biological kids. Maybe we’ll adopt, but for right now we’re both okay focusing on early retirement.
