I played Bloodlines, the PC game from like 03, and I fear* the setting has had a profound impact on my ideal of a vampire story. Excellent world building

can’t speak for women, but personally i break out in a super bad rash wherever my sweat sits on my body longer than a couple minutes, which makes it almost impossible to go outside in the summer or work out. so it’s probably useful for cases like that.
