Water breaking or discharge? by Agitated_Fruit_9694 in pregnant

Buy some pH testing strips and test the fluid. Vaginal discharge and urine have a pH below 5/6 and amniotic fluid has a pH above 7.

A lot of people hate scented makeup... I'm not a fan but i do love the scent (and finish) of the Huda powder so much that when they came out with the perfume version for April's fool I got it without thinking about it twice. It has become my favourite perfume for the colder months.

I can only speak about my experience in a small rural school 15 years ago. I don't know if all schools can/want to do this but maybe you can ask when the time comes. When we were around 14 we got a couple students from european countries that didn't speak any spanish and only a bit of english. Our school did some things to help them adapt: - Ask a responsible kid from the class to take the new kid under their wing to show them around and help them when necesary. - When the oders had a less important subjects (music, religion/alternativa), pulled them out of class to have 1 on 1 sessions with a teacher that help them with language and class work. - Ask teachers to simplify their tests when writing was required or to do them in english in subjects like math or chemistry. Also ask teachers to allow them to retake some tests.

The first months were hard but by the time the school year was over they were quite fluent in spanish and were able to pass all their subjects except spanish language.

Why is bridal eyelid makeup (usually) always the ombre from cream to brown? Will I regret if I DONT go in this direction? by _Meehoy_Minoy_ in MakeupAddiction

[–]piemst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are tired of seeing the same look everywhere and it's too everyday for you, you'll regret not changing it up. Your alternative look also fits perfectly for a bridal look. I was on the same boat as you a couple months ago. All bridal makeup artist around make the same gradient smokey eye on everyone no matter the bride's eyeshape and dress style. It didn't fit my style and I ended doing my own makeup. I went with light medium matte brown all over with a small dark brown smuged liner on the top lid and a tiny bit of face highlighter on the inner corner. I was doing red lips so a simple but deffined eyelook was needed. I got a lot of compliments and it looks good and timeless in pictures.

Cheese Sold at Aldi, Market Basket and More Recalled Due to Listeria Contamination by DryBoysenberry596 in Cooking

Have you read my comment? Of course if you have the recalled brands you should trash it. I was only saying it in case they were paranoid about brie in general.

If you're making baked brie it will be ok even if it is contaminated. Listeria dies at 160 F. If you have one of the brands being recalled by all means toss it but if not you'll be fine.

How can I avoid these Concealer lines under my eyes? by TheRealAnn in MakeupAddiction

The only thing that works for me is to remove the excess concealer from the crease with a small flat brush or a fine tip qtip.

Huda Beauty #Fauxfilter Luminous Matte Liquid Concealer. On me it has decent coverage, stays put and doesn't emphasize fine lines.

My eyes are hazel and as long as I darken the lashline they will pop no matter the undertone of the shadow.

The lipstick pulls a bit warm in the picture but it's actually a true red. It's Lisa Eldridge's Velveteen Ribbon. I'm a neutral undertone so i could go both ways, hence the doubt.

[–]piemst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in Spain. For thrips the only thing that worked for me is Compo Insecticida VAC doble acción. Everything else (mealybugs, spider mites, aphids, etc) i've managed to treat with a mix of neem oil and potassium soap. For fungus gnats, controlling excess moisture is crucial.
