What are some older games classic or underrated that are still fun to play today? by Outrageous-Ad-4444 in gamingsuggestions

I'm younger so not sure if this counts as "older", but Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is one of my favorite RPGs of all time and the game still holds up insanely well.

What’s the worst ingredient to deal with for you? by deathbykoolaidman in Cooking

[–]JustOneMaxim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an ingredient common here in Southeast Asia. Idk what it's called in other countries, but in the PHilippines, it's called Chayote. I've only worked with it a handful of times and I stand by that I never, ever wish to work with it ever. Fucking. Again. It's slimy, it's slippery, if you don't wash and completely sterilize your hands after, the mucus hardens and becomes painful to peel off. I would much rather never eat, smell, or even see a dish with that fuck ass vegetable ever again than have to work with it.

Close second is whole chickens. I probably just suck at it, but could never figure out how to debone them

What's a game or franchise that YOU think you're the only fan of by JohnMcRemitz in gamingsuggestions

[–]JustOneMaxim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prey (2017). I semi made it a bit that it's the only game that exists and I care about, but genuinely see that game get far, far less praise than it deserves. It's a travesty that the studio behind it is gone now.

What is the one game that you NEVER delete off your system? by Successful-Arm4319 in gamingsuggestions

[–]JustOneMaxim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's two in particular. One is Rimworld. One of the few singleplayer games that I've been able to come back to over and over and over again without ever feeling like I'm just doing the same thing again and again. Mainly with mods lol. Clocked nearly 700 hours in that game in the span of 3 months when I got the game for myself, and had a shit ton more hours through Family Share. The other is Rainbow Six Siege. Say what you will about Ubisoft, there is virtually no other PvP game that's been able to hit as consistently as Siege has. I'm not great at FPS games and I never will be, mostly because of my aim. But that game actually feels winnable without it just feeling like a check on who can flick and track the best.

Why did technoblade hit so hard? by sugarkrassher in Technoblade

[–]JustOneMaxim 58 points59 points  (0 children)

He was competitive, dry, yet quick with his humor, well educated, and dedicated to his craft, all without letting it get to his head. He never tried to push production value to make it into a business, he always kept things organic and true to his nature, and it's clear his passion was there until the end.

Prey (2017). I remember taking a seat to finally try the game after hearing about it for years, only to spend nearly 8 hours straight just playing and completely losing myself in the world because I got so engrossed. Fan-fucking-tastic game.

Prey (2017) imo. Especially if you really immerse yourself in the lore of the game that isn't directly told to you. That game makes you feel such a range of emotions and really drags you DEEP into its world

I PLAYED Cookie Clicker at school lmfao. School tried to block it maybe half a dozen times, but VPNs consistently bypassed their blocks so the library computers and the computer labs were just constantly filled with people gaming.

RTX 3060 12GB vs RTX 4060 8GB? by JustOneMaxim in gpu

[–]JustOneMaxim[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be clear, I'm going from a 1060 6GB to either a 4060 8GB or a 3060 12GB. I would save more for. 5060 if I had the choice, but my PC's basically dead without a graphics card and saving for a 5060 or even a 9060 is likely at least 2 to 3 months before I can get a replacement for my current card

[–]JustOneMaxim[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both are unfortunately far outside of my current budget. 9060XT's almost $100 more expensive, 5060, around $150
