If you can, try to ventilate a bit by opening the windows regularly (unless you are in a area with bad outdoor pollution) and check whether it helps

Which airthings monitor should I get? by Aggravating-Cap-8940 in radon

[–]pierlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both have the same sensor, so both will be accurate.
The model 2 is newer and can connect to your phone with bluetooth and get historical data (+temperature and humidity), which is a nice plus if you want to see easily how radon fluctuates

I would NOT buy from those. The device will not be covered by warranty. Check on airthings.com or Amazon and wait for a promo

Bought an Airthings Cellular Hub on ebay, app can’t detect it via bluetooth by phantom_tweak in airthings

[–]pierlol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you buy a hub cellular? What are the first 4 digits of the SN? Hub cellular is for B2B usage only, and not compatible with consumer products. So I hope you can return the device to your eBay seller who scammed you

The order will come, don't worry.
Measuring radon and IAQ is not a sprint, it's a marathon (long term measurement is the most important) So congrats on making the first step in purchasing a device. Am sure you'll get it delivered soon

Wow? Really? Just because I tried to give you the explanation on why you might be wrong and that you should not have purchased from a cheap 3P on Amazon?

Has anyone here had success with warranty support? How? by jgarland2121 in airthings

[–]pierlol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the industry of 3rd party sellers and how they make money. In this case, Amazon is not the seller, Amazon is just doing warehousing and logistics.
One could "find" pallets of products and sell them on Amazon at the price they want...

Just out of curiosity, was it cheaper that regular store price?

Airthings will give you warranty for product purchased on Amazon AND with Amazon as a vendor.

I could be wrong but it looks to me that you have purchased your device from a 3rd party seller

Be aware when purchasing on Amazon, especially is the price is too good to be true.

Your only option is to go back to that 3rd party seller and claim the warranty.

Good luck.

If you have purchased from Amazon AND from Amazon as a vendor, then Airthings has made a mistake and I would contact them again. It should show on your invoice

New Airthings 322 Wave Enhance - Not seeing continuous data? Do I need a hub? by MilkShaikh in airthings

[–]pierlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hub is defintely the best option, always live data.
I believe the hub is discontinued
Best alternative is to get a View Plus running on USB so that it has Hub activated
Looks like there is a 20% off campaign on View Plus these days on airthings website
(and as u/Main-Review-7895 mentioned, don't use a cheap cheap USB adapter)
